I can't recall which thread we were discussing the scurge of gambling being thrust in our faces at every turn?? But whilst checking the AFL app just now for the weekend fixtures I noticed this very "subtle" change....View attachment 1097929

Chad has proven his old man right though.

There's nothing wrong with Sumich listening to someone whose views he trusted. The idea that we can, with our current development pathways, unfailingly find all of the best footballing talent in WA and squeeze them into just one state team is weird and wrong.

I wanted us to pick up both Elijah Taylor and Chad Warner. I got Elijah wrong but Warner is exactly my kind of footballer.
My thoughts are that I would expect Sumich to know about the players independently from what their mum and dad think.

wish we'd listened a bit harder when Andrew McGovern was spruiking his boys...

Yeah but in typical Fremantle fashion we would have passed on Jeremy and invested it all in Mitch

Thats the footy live app though, not official AFL one.

Official one isn't much better but they have a hide betting odds option.

Madness was asking about the Saturation of gambling advertising issue which I'm pretty passionate about trying to do something about , so I passed on some advice .

For anyone interested here's the title of a specific BF thread on this issue

"Gambling advertising is out of control"

I'm not sure how to provide links to other threads

How did he get to trusting his views is the question? It's pretty much via cronyism, if Sumich is to be believed.

He's smart Ryan, he knows not to bag either WA team, and tries to help both team's supporters with info.
He's played it way better than the dudes that have come before him!
Kudos
He makes Quarterbrain look like a pre-schooler doing some fingerpainting!
