Nationals MP makes offensive joke but to the west australian he is Former Dockers coach.
You can’t make this level of bias up.

David King just potted us as one of the most disappointing teams this year.
Tend to agree, told SEN apparently and surprise surprise the Worst Coke Australian picked it up!
He said our contested ball has gone out the window, which it has.
Picked us to beat the Bombers though, but our mids better get off the chain, and on their bike.
Thanks Ross, oh and be dog hungry!!

4-4 after 8 isn’t that disappointing given injuries etc.
Some of the performances haven’t been great, but let’s chill a little Kingy haha.

Hopefully we scrap a win this weekend and get some players back with a chance to go 6-4

Counterbalancing the injuries is the teams we've won against and the manner of the defeats being non-competitive.
I would say it's a relatively disappointing start, we should expect more growth from the team than we've seen so far.

Tough stretch of games we're going into now too, with the Swans, Power and Dogs.
On current form we'd drop all of them, Essendon is a must win, and we'd love to take at least one of the others.

Injuries have been a big factor in our form so I'm not disappointed overall, we lost our bookends by the end of round 1 plus our first choice small forwards.

Biggest disappointment was getting belted by depleted Eagles the rest not so bad.

Surely that goes to Collingwood.

agree. There’s been basically 1 bad quarter per week that’s hurt us. Was similar last year too, but shortened games obviously helped not blow out.

disappointment obviously more in the uncontrollables in injuries. Pearce, hamling, young and even Sturt available all season would be making a huge diff

4 and 4 is reasonable, but compared to last year, we have been poor.

Last year we looked like a team with a plan, a team that was organised behind the ball. Yes we lost games but there was some sense of direction.

This year, the moment the heat has been turned up we have lost system and structure. Its like we know what we should be doing when the oppo's pressure is down (GWS, Roos) but we immediately forget our lines when the oppo want to play hard contested footy back at us.

This year we have been non-competitive against Carlton(!?!), WCE (2nd half), and Brisbane (1st half). We looked liked we were still in holiday mode against the Dees, with guys missing 25m targets and kicking the ball off their shin.

I know people will say "young side, give them 50 games" etc. But the areas where we have been worst are the areas we have some experience:

- keeping structure forward of the ball: Tabs, Lobb, Walters, even Colyer have plenty of experience to organise the front half

- midfield defensive efforts: Fyfe, Mundy and even Brayshaw (he is a 4th year player) have enough experience to react to an oppo run-on in the middle. For these guys its not so much about their individual efforts but about the ability to harness the midfiield group as a whole and know when we need to defend as a group. Guys like Acres and Aish are experienced players on the wings but I don't really see them standing up for us when the heat goes on

Having had a quick look at our fixture, it's hard to see us getting those eight games (even if we beat the Dons and Sydney over the next fortnight), given our inability to beat any teams above us on the ladder since JL took over

I have no doubt we will finish in the 10-12 area and get another average draft pick in the early teens after all of the other concessions etc have been pulled out.

ALso we've only had 3 home games (not counting the derby which was a major downer).

I think it's only Daicos this year but potentially a couple of early FA compensations.

We'll finish 11th, get given 8 that will become 10 is my guess.

Kane Cornes up to selling papers again, ranks all the captains and Fyfe is No 10 and Shuey is No 12, with both Jonas from Port and Rampe (one of three captains of the Swans, yes the backman that climbed the point post and told the umpire to stop talking like a little girl) both ranked higher. Is Cornes worse than Hackdorn, Hardie and Sumich as far as credibility goes?

Cornes knows what he is doing. He is intentionally spouting crap to create headlines. The other 3 are just ****wits.

Clearly not a Rhodes Scholar, but isn't stupid but a perfect example of the shock jock.

I thought Cornes was generous putting Fyfe in the top 10 to be honest. List was pretty spot on.
