Dear Strong Feedback, and the West Coast sponsoring WA media.

No, Booing Gaff is not a disgrace. Quite simply, he would be in prison if that incident took place outside of a football oval.

Why do I feel this way? Let me count the ways.

1. The West Coast supporters booing Brayshaw on his return, after obviously damaging Gaff’s fist, and for all of the mean things that happened and were said about Gaff.
2. The fact that Gaff was applauded on his return. Such a hard thing he had to overcome. This is the big one. Applauding someone for assault and caving in a kid’s face
3. The fact that they then joked about the incident during training, remember that video? Classy.
4. The hypocrisy of West Coast supporters. Let’s think shall we?
   1. Booing of Barry Hall after the Brent Staker hit. Why was that ok, and this isn’t?
   2. Booing of Adam Goodes. Why? He didn’t even do anything, let alone anything to them or their players.
   3. The constant booing at West Coast home games, how about they learn to cheer for their side?

I mean, let’s face it. It’s ok for those up the road to throw around the insults, and boo to high heaven whenever and whatever they feel like. Appropriate or not. Well, people in glass houses and all that, not nice when the shoes on the other foot is it? Gaff will be booed by Freo supporters until the day he retires, not because he is a WC love-child, but because of what he did, and tried to make excuses for the action instead of taking ownership. Another thing WC are good at, Cousins, Kerr, Willie, seems like the club has got used to its high castle and entitlement, being able to sweep things under the carpet and have the media crawl and beg and plead for their attention. 8 page wrap-around for Willie, ffs.

Compare to someone like Chris Judd, who was rightfully booed for 10 years after refusing to partake in the friendly good vibes culture at West Coast mid 00s. Apparently one of them even broke a kids jaw once, I'm willing to trust the classy WCE crowd here and their outstanding moral compasses for who that would be since they know their footy best.

It’s also classic deflection re the loss. Every derby we win there seems to be some controversy that they and The West can highlight and winge about. E/S media haven’t mentioned the booing but only how poorly they played.

   4. Remember Chris Judd? What he did for the club? And how he was booed when he left to go back to Melbourne? Every. Damn. Time?
   5. The booing of Fyfe for the terrible thing he did to Hurn. Taking the AA captaincy away from him. I mean, it doesn’t take a lot to set the WC crowd off, does it?
