Conclusion? We kicked its ass.

Mclarty, Randell big man special. Check.

Rowdy jnr. Enough said. check.

Kayle Kirby. Byron Pickett and cyril traits? Check.

Daicos. Daicos, wizard, magician, marvel, freak, Sherrin puppeteer....... massive check. Will be a superstar. Lucky we told him to hold about 90% back so we could get him for nicks.
That's the spirit!

"Each club must have at least three selections in the NAB AFL Draft."

Do they just mean you must take 3 selections with you to the draft then? because if that's the case it's almost impossible not to take 3 selections with you...

Ahh,ok, maybe this? Really not sure, though.

Rookie list promotions are included among the compulsory minimum of three selections that each club must have at the draft, but the names of these players will not be formally read out at the draft.

I think tonight's result deserves a bit of spirt,

Some habiki to be precise.

This stuff?

Don't know enough about the kids we have taken to pass any sort of judgment, good luck to them.

Some players like Scharenberg, Brayshaw, Jarman etc. going undrafted was a bit of a surprise, but all clubs passed on them, so they must have all viewed them similarly.

Knightmare What happened to Jonty Scharenberg?

Strong chance as a rookie for a club.

Should have gone in the national draft, but his being overlooked speaks to the depth of midfielders available in this draft.

Would have no issue with Jonty Scharenberg being rookied to the Pies.

Staggered Jonty didn't get picked up. Would have thought those type of possible/potential Josh Kennedy inside mids who can get their hands on the ball and keep their hands free in the tackle are really valuable even as a speculative pick. If that's what your game is built around do you really need to be that good a kick? Amazing stuff. Though every year there seems to be a highly rated player in this category that misses altogether. But Scharenberg is the biggest fall of this kind I can remember.

Love to get him in the rookie even just to keep his brother company.

It almost seems mean not to draft him given the positives and blood lines.

Gil said at the start of the night that 3 selections must be taken. 1 selection can be a rookie upgrade.

They're not read out on draft night any more apparently, but if you upgrade a rookie you can take just 2 others on draft night.

We'll also know shortly after if we add another indigenous talent in Isiah Farrell-Nelson or one overlooked by another club as a Cat B rookie.

The club will need to lodge relevant paperwork immediately after the rookie draft on November 28 to secure the multicultural or indigenous talent.

If the relevant club does not choose to take the player as a category B rookie, or if they are an AFL nomination and are not selected in the rookie or national drafts, then any club can list the player as a category B pick.

However, the player has to give his consent before it is confirmed in that case.
