An AFL investigation would be launched into the can-throwing incident, resulting in Craig being banned from attending any matches for 5 years.

After Neeld's sacking, Craig would be required to coach via video link from the sofa in his lounge.

We've come full circle. Again. :D

When Craig took over Adelaide for the first time they played us and beat us by 10+ goals. Ill take that as an omen

That we'll lose by 10+ goals?

Here's a question: do you reckon Neeld would have watched the game today? Obviously lots of painful memories there, but also it would be hard not to watch after being so involved.

I think he would have, few other mates I've asked have said no. Interested to see people's thoughts.

Not if his wife had anything to do with it I'd say - he's on holiday!

Apparently in Bali, but I reckon if he could, he's the type of guy that would

At least other Neeld supporters have posted that nothing will change and we'll be slaughtered again .. something they need to see happen to confirm their honest belief that Neeld wasn't the problem, but also leaving them open to being proved wrong. But this comment is trying to set up a win/win situation. We lose and nothing has changed showing Neeld wasn't the problem .. we win and it proves nothing as we would have won anyway under Neeld. No doubt you would have made the same comment if the coaching change had come the week before the Gold Coast game. I believe Neeld was the problem and that we will see a big difference this week. A team freed from a confusing game plan and able to play more on their instincts. I expect us to win but the change won't just be shown by a win or loss, it will be evident in the way they play. Of course I may be proved wrong, but I'm happy to take that risk.

yeah, cool story, but that's the exact problem with neil craig, it always was, and craigy's presence is likely the reason why neeld coached in that manner, and possibly the reason why that gamestyle still lingers about footall park, neil craig is football cancer. Your potentially marvellous young players will stink of craig for years.

Didn't you make a Prelim last year, a year after Craig left?

playing a completely different brand

long, attacking, simple tactics. Although, it's obvious that we were overachieving last year.

craig was the guy who got us playing the briefly effective, high handballing, rigidly structured, convoluted, robotic football. His '05 and '06 crows were successful at it, but it seemed to stop working so well after that, and his gameplan grew ever more complicated in the following years.

A fresh start, he may well be the guy you need, I just have my doubts. Craigy's a hell of a nice bloke though.

I think his point was that you made the claim: "Your potentially marvellous young players will stink of craig for years."

And yet the year after he left your club you made a prelim. No one is arguing that you play better footy without Craig, but stinking of Craig 'for years' seems to be contradicted by what has actually happened at your club.

At least, that's what I think he meant...
