Liked it too. 20 minute eps meant it was binged pretty quick. More than just carrie vibes. Virtually copies a whole section of it. Also a whole breakfast club episode. Didn't detract though.
It was a bit of a homage (the ringer stating it was enjoyable but felt manufactured). Look forward to where they take it. Liking that Netflix is doing 5-8 episode seasons instead of the American 22 episode seasons.

Binge watched this and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it - definitely Carrie vibes
Being a fan of " The end of the ****ing world " i knew this was going to be good.

I watched the whole of season in 1 night which does not take long as the episodes are short but gee whiz what an ending to Season 1 that has me waiting eagerly for Season 2.

Excellent show.

Only new to NetFlix but enjoying the series 'You'. First season was good, just started the second.

Saw that and looked good but I wasn't sure I wanted to commit to a show that looked so bleak. Is there any sort of positivity in it?
Not alot if I'm being totally honest. Without giving away too much, the perpetrators and the system that failed him (and so many other kids) still walk this earth.

The trial of Gabriel Fernandez.

Holy shit and the hardest thing I have EVER watched which had me fighting back a wave of emotion after just 30mins in to the opening episode.

Worst thing about it was this is real and is just a cluster **** of stuff ups that led to the death of an 8yo boy at the hands of his mother and the campaigner of a boyfriend she had.

It will make you angry / sad / confused all at the same time while you just sit back and watch it helplessly from your own home wishing you could go back in time and rescue this poor boy.

I watched it last night and had the wife watch it tonight after telling her about it and she got to the 2nd episode and broke down saying she was unable to watch it. We are parents ourselves and it is such a sad true story that is hard to stomach but needs to be seen, so it never happens again as people discuss the **** ups/ responsibilities that DHS and children’s services have all over the world.

Just a totally harrowing story that needs to be viewed but if you are parent beware this really hits home.

10/10 and a must see.

I’ve really enjoyed Confessions of a Killer, 2nd season came out recently. It’s hard to not get sucked in by the story the killer portrays, until the actual evidence is talked about.

Just finished that and Safe (same author), both absolutely brilliant but actually enjoyed Safe more.
I preferred The Stranger.

First half of Safe was great, then it dropped a bit I thought.

I think it's fair to say the connections the people made on Love is Blind are a lot more real, not as shallow as those on MAFS. (even if most relationships don't end up working out)
At least they have a decent base to form something on rather than chucking two randos together on MAFS where it's pushing shit uphill to get them to like each other (although entertaining viewing for us).
I think the hit rate of actual relationships is going to be heaps higher than MAFS, though maybe not as high as Love Island.
