TV show or movie? Depending on that answer, what 3 TV shows or movies did you really love (to base a recommendation on)?

TV show would have watched most movies, struggle to get hooked turned Beaky Blinders and Blacklist off after about 10 eps.

it looks kinda interesting but i'm not sure if i'm prepared to invest 4 hours in it.

Worth it. Man brings down a billion$$$ conglomerate with his tenacity. And they deserve it

Interesting the mixed opinions on here about Uncut Gems. I get both sides. I was ready to turn off after 20 minutes, I was hating it at that point, but the final hour or so was absolutely brilliant.

OK, here's 3 on Netflix you should try (if you haven't already):

Line Of Duty (UK cop show about an anti-Police corruption unit. Season 1 is very good, but Season 2 onwards is fantastic!)

Mindhunter (fictional take on real life events where the FBI started interviewing serial killers in the 60s to try and understand them more)

Evil Genius (true crime documentary about the people pulling the strings behind a bank robbery that goes horribly wrong and might not have even been a true robbery attempt)

i was tossing up between The Pharmacist or yet another Ted Bundy doco but this seems like a much more interesting option.

It's messed up. The story itself and the people involved. All horrible. You'll love it

Agreed and I’ll go one step further and say I enjoyed it from the start. I’m not an Adam Sandler fan, especially anything released after (and including) Bedtime Stories.

Sandler was brilliant and it was bloody stressful but captivating in my opinion.

The only thing with The Staircase is that it's very long. I felt like it could've had half the episodes.

Just started Mindhunter, 2 episodes in - Not sure about it yet, i get pretty bored throughout the episode but then when it ends i still feel i should keep watching as ive heard good things. Will give it another couple of episodes

The Wolfs Call and it is currently showing on Netflix. A bloke at work came in raving about this morning and telling me it is a must watch and a fantastic film.

Full French dialogue so subtitles are needed which doesn't bother me and it looks interesting with some pretty good reviews.

I was going to check it out tonight but then i remembered Narcos Mexico S2 starts tonight so that will get priority! Interested to see if anyone has seen this film and can give an opinion.

umm actually i havent but i will now!! My fave is Das Boot which is perfect.

U571 is my all time favourite Sub film and it is sensational.

I rate it better than Das Boot and many others i have seen but that is just personal choice and the story line to U571 is great as they attempt to capture a crippled German Sub at sea in disguise to claim the Enigma code machine that was killing the Americans during WW2 when they were unable to decipher it.

But as usual things go to shit real quick!

Must watch IMO if you like Sub films.

Submarine movies are some of the best because the inherent closed-in and claustrophobic nature of it adds a lot of natural tension to action movies.

The Hunt for Red October and Crimson Tide are two of my favourites but of course Das Boot deserves much of the praise.
