I watched The Woman in the House Across the Street...

I thought it started out with quite a fun premise, but tailed off badly, and was, I think, much too pleased with itself.

Agree, last ep was farcical with the kitchen scene.

Really not much on Netflix at the moment. We watched Tribes of Europa and it was OK. One I think is called Hidden City made in Rio is passable. There was a decent crime doco series where they spoke to police who investigated the multitude of serial killers in LA in the '70s and early 80s, that was pretty good.

Pieces of Her is brilliant.

The Adam Project dropped with a decent cast and a well-made movie (meaning it had a decent budget given the sci-fi elements). However, I found the whole thing an overly sentimental affair. The acting was average at times, especially from Ryan Reynolds. The kid was probably the best part of the movie. But I felt this was just another Hollywood film trying to manipulate you to cry at every turn as the self-loathing adult Adam reunited with dead parents and what he thought was a dead wife. Sob, sob, let's finish it off with adult Adam and boy Adam having one last play of catch with dead dad before the timeline changes. Cry, cry, cry. Oops, I've run out of tissues. Give me a break. 5/10

The Woman in the House across the street….

If it was trying to be a comedy then it was a huge failure.

Netflix seem to accept any scripts these days.
So many flaws and holes. Ergh i want those hours back!

So, Snowpiercer has completely gone to sh*t hasn't it?

It was only ever a nice B-grade thrill at best but holy fu** this third season is downright atrocious.

Can't see it getting a season 4.
I just tapped out halfway through the second season. Not missing much I take it?

It treads a line between cringe and funny and often stumbles. The magician interrogation was a pisser tho, I think it was the only time Conan O’Brien lost it.
I did like the chilli seen with him. It does need a different lead though. Will arnett is not suited for it

I'm about half-way through Vikings Valhalla. I liked it better when it was shamans and seers and death or glory, rather than The West Wing/Wolf Hall-style politicking. I was watching the last season of The Last Kingdom too, but it was doing my head in watching them both at the same time, so I've left that until I've finished VV.

Started Peaky Blinders. Have heard many a good thing about it.

Same here, about to start it. Let me know how it goes, your taste usually matches mine.

Except for football teams you support, lol.
