Black Mirror Ep 1 Common people - really good, oof brutal to watch. Has Roy from IT crowd in it, I’d forgotten about that show - was so good!

Ep 2 Bête Noire - I found really frustrating, almost turned it off but then loved the ending as far fetched as it all was.

Ep 3 Hotel Reverie - it was a bit cheesy in some ways, hard to describe but I really liked the premise. Emma Corrin was really captivating as Dorothy. Brandy was terribly cast, just seemed ridiculous and wooden.

Ep 4 Plaything - the video game one they seem to do one each time. Eh it was ok, probs my least fabourite.

Ep 5 Eulogy - excellent, probs the highest quality in terms of direction and performances, some cool effects too. Paul Giamatti played a typical character for him, but was absolutely outstanding in the role, I knew he would be.

Haven’t watched 6 yet. It’s an ok season, never boring this one and the plots hook you in quickly each time.

I watched "Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn's treasure" on the weekend.
I really enjoyed it, very amusing the way it is told following a few treasure hunters, who were all absolutely adamant they had solved the clues, yet were all going in very different directions.

The Hillbillies in particularly and the time they spent digging a hole when they were certain they had the right spot absolutely ended me
I’ve been watching this too and yeah was pissing myself at the idiots spending god knows how many days trying to dig under that massive rock 😂

if you haven't watched the last episode yet, i won't spoil it for you... but they reveal how long they were there for and it is absolutely tremendous

Currently watching "Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kid Influencing"

I mean obviously kid influencing is fraught with danger and is complete exploitation, but this show is making me feel UNWELL
I watched this too, the story seems to get worse and worse - there are a few youtube channels that have covered it since.

What do you think is contributing to (I'd go so far as saying "causing" but maybe that's just me) the spike since 2010 in adolescent suicide, bullying, gender confusion (especially in girls), eating disorders (especially in girls), lack of interest in school, loss of concentration? Isn't that when smart phones gained widespread use?

Sorry I don’t understand the relevance of the question. Have you seen the show I’m talking about? It has nothing to do with any of what you’ve mentioned.

What in the totally irrelevant bigotry is this?

It doesn't help to bury your head in the sand. Influencers are part of the overall problem.

Riiiiiight. But even if you think this, what relevance does it have to a doco about parents pushing kids into influencing. Most of the kids in it don’t even have socials, their parents run it.

It’s not related at all to your crap.

Ok, that's another aspect, but the adults in turn are not only exploiting their kids but other kids who are influenced.

It may be irrelevant but it's not crap.

It gets pretty bad in the first episode. I'm not sure I want to watch any more.

Piper was being entered into pageant shows when she was 3 yo and wearing skimpy outfits onstage when she was 8. I've always found the 'pageant mom' thing very strange. Do they really have their daughter's best interests at heart? It seems like the same kind of parent would exploit their kid on the internet when $$$ can be made.

It definitely gets worse.

it shows Piper’s mother kissing one of the underage boys on the mouth (like a proper kiss), how she isolated any of the children whose parents pulled them out of The Squad, allegations of molestation from multiple children against Tiffany, and what Piper is being forced to do now (bikini photos etc)

could be a tale of love, or it could be a tale of american industrial prison complex falling short on checks and balances

about the only thing going for it is the unique premise in a sea of murder documentaries. went into a lot of detail, maybe too much when you hear the phone calls between two people in love.

A sequel to the first one this was fantastic, they nailed it. Very funny too. My favourite of this season.
