Thought it was a poor decision

Should just scrap it based on 1 poor decision last night. Probably should also scrap the HTB/incorrect disposal rule after the poor decision in Geelong

One is a free kick, the other is a 50m penalty.

I agree HTB as it stands should be scrapped. Probably the most aggravating, inconsistent and misinterpreted (or misinterpretated according to Jobe) rule in the game.

Do you have footage of this? By the sounds of your description it was simply an umpiring error. The rule itself is working exactly as planned and is resulting in much more attractive football.

Don't have it on hand. 16min left 4th quarter. I'm sure if they review it the AFL will say it was the correct decision as Devon was told to stand and he moved off the mark.

It all equals out, my youngest thinks Im boring as sh*t:cool:
I know right.

I mean, what could possibly be boring about sitting on the couch on Saturday night quaffing a glass of pinot noir whilst watching 4 sports at once on Kayo and yelling the odd bit of expert advice in the general direction of the TV??

I enjoyed the parts I watched, yes.

How about the Port game?

Anotther good close game.

Good balance between defense and attack? Both teams actually played a more defensive style by forcing the other down the line protecting the corridor.

Evenly matched teams who both play well play close games. Out matched teams or teams that play poorly can get smashed. Thats football.

It has a netball vibe about. Less blokey and more something but if you had the misfortune of having to watch your daughter do the netball thing then you’ll know what I mean.

Umpirery .. that’s the word I was looking for.

For a game of netball the Port Tigers game had a lot of players limping off after big tackles. And Dixon was bleeding from the mouth at the end.

So you’re saying the rules have had no real impact on the game?

People get wrapped up in stats way way to much. I’ll take Dustin Martins stats over our stat king Jake Lloyd every day of the week.
My point point being that your perception is clouded by your bias.

Brisbane v Pies decided by 1 point in a low scoring cracker.

Adelaide over GC by ten points in another one that didn't crack the tonne.

Dogs v North and all five games on Saturday and Sunday one sided.

Geelong v Hawks went down to the wire and decided by less than a goal.

Question: which of those one sided games would you have put ahead of the Cats v Hawks?

Rowan Marshall couldn't stand because he was injured, gets paid a 50m penalty against. Great rule. 👍

Glad to know you find your daughter boring. I am sure she appreciates it.

Have seen a game of netball ? The umpires are the stars and control it it to the enth.
It’s a women thing and our game is starting to look very umpirery.
Don't you think ?

As for the daughter comment? You are obviously a **** wit.

Yep, the nazi of all afl rules at work. Still hope the game evens out at some point and gets a little more balanced instead of the ping pong it has become.
