We come through the last month with 4 wins, with 2 at AAMI stadium a hoodoo ground for us usually. But the next month it doesn't get any easier when we play potential finalists all.

Round 13 Sydney @ SS
: The swans are starting to show some form shaping up as big match
Round 14 Essendon @ TD: The Bombers have been playing well and in the top 6.
Round 15 Collingwood @ MCG: Another top 6 team who flogged us last year
Round 16: Western Bulldogs @ TD: The Doggies may be hitting some form again, already beat us by 20 points this year round 1.

These games will be real testers as they are all sides in or really vying for a top 8 position. I don't see why we couldn't beat them all but if we are due for a loss it may be one of these teams that prevail. Another tough month ahead after the break.

thoughts?

Re: The Next 4 weeks

A lot of people are saying the Essendon game is the one we shouldnt have any trouble with but as you said Catman they have been playing well and throw in the fact that its going to be Hirds 250th isnt going to help at all

Re: The Next 4 weeks

Its going to be a very testing month for the boys.

I will be over the moon if we can win all 4 games as it would just about guarantee us a top 2 finsih, I will also be happy with 3 wins and could accept 2 wins out of the next 4 games.

I Will be very dissapointed if we don't win at least two of the next four games.

Re: The Next 4 weeks

Yeah I had a look over our draw a few weeks back and pointed this out as a huge month for us. Good to have the break to get any niggles sorted out before it, as we will need to be right on the ball to get through it with 3 or 4 wins to really cement our top 2 spot and finals credentials.

Realistically we need to finish top 2 to make the GF, avoiding having to go to Sydney, Perth or Adelaide, and from there anything can happen.

Re: The Next 4 weeks

a 3/1 result will leave us at 12/4. That guarantess a us finals spot. Then we have 6 games to push for a top 2 spot as we have 3 home games at SS in that run.

You're forgetting tho, the captain will not get a touch.. (unless he gets direct assistance from the umpires!)

Re: The Next 4 weeks

character building few rounds coming up. But in all seriousness there are few teams you could pencil in a win with this year. (tigers excluded)

Re: The Next 4 weeks

Yeh i def agree this is the month is going to be the test to see where we are at. In the form we are in we'd win all 4 i believe but after a break our momentum may stop and the boys might take some time to look where they are and get ahead of themselves, let hope neither happens. 3 wins is na must for a top 2 spot.

Re: The Next 4 weeks

We'll win all four.
No reason to think we won't.
Doggies will be our biggest test but the boys will be keen to atone for Round 1...

Re: The Next 4 weeks

The big test will be the Sydney game, but we beat them at SS last year and they've been up and down all season, so I think we can handle them. Will be a tight game, though.

The Footscray game will also be a toughie - they match up well with us. Hopefully the boys will have learned their lessons from Round 1.

We can handle Essendon, but the Collingwood game is going to be interesting. I think we should be able to beat them fairly easily but they seem to be going well this year, although it doesn't seem as though they have been horribly convincing. There'll be a huge crowd in at the 'G and hopefully some fan support will help against the magpie army.

I wonder if it comes down to a shoot out with the pies we will win that.

Re: The Next 4 weeks

No doubt Malthouse and Sheedy will be getting thier lads up for these games. Expect us to be the hunted and lots of physical pressure. i think we have the bodies now to cope with this although.

I want nothing less than the 1951-52 record of 26 (or whatever it was) wins in a row, including the 51 flag.

Go ruthless 2007 Cats!

Mooney - your on the ball. Inspirational stuff!
Lets get on the wagon, or as the new signature line states - the mustard is off the hot dog!!

Essendon should be an easy win. They have a great forward line, but they also heavily rely on lucas/lloyd to kick their goals, and i think we can take them out of the game with our defence and rebound. If they dont move the ball quickly they will be playing into our hands.

Collingwood should be closer but i think we should win comfortably

Sydney... well they are an annoying team. You saw what they did to the hawks, will be a good test for us. I think we will get over the line at KP in a very close one.

Bulldogs you never know. They havnt really strung togeather 4 quarters of good footy for a while. The way they played against freo was good and it might be the start of something big for the doggies.

Will be an intriguing month.
