Can you "force" a brand new senior coach and brand new senior assistant together? They'd need an already established relationship, rapport etc.

Maybe it's

Dew, Williams, ROK, Francou and Lade

Edit: remove Williams, insert Walsh

I would be surprised if more than half of them survive.

If they all survive then I would have great concerns about our senior coaching appointment!

Dont underestimate the Roo-volution taking place at West Lakes. Heads will roll.

Either Ratten or Tudor. Might depend on current contract.

I'd also call it "Director of Coaching" so if at least sounds like a promotion from assisting.
If we appoint a 1st time ago coach, we must go after a senior experienced assistant/ director type, preferably an ex-coach. Ratten appears the best option, then perhaps m Harvey.

Guys - just because we don't know what is going on ... don't think that the club has been sitting on its hands waiting for Monday !!

Lots and lots of decisions are being made now and over the last few weeks ... we should be confident that the Roo-volution is in full swing.

Coaching team is being lined up - Trades and drafts are being planned for.

It's not like the club is going to appoint someone on Thursday as head coach, hand them a folder and say "good luck" :-)

Noble is earning his 3 salaries...

Fortunately now has some useful helpers.

Harps gone on holidays?

IMO it's coming down to either Dew or Bass with a strong Snr Asst next to them

If I was a betting man I would say Dew on the back of the rumours that both Walsh and ROK could be heading to West Lakes

I was thinking Dew for the past few days, given the Crows will want to be on the front foot asap, given Bassett is free of any finals commitment and wasnt announced, my bets are on Dew.

It would be disappointing if most of the assistant coaches stayed. Especially after Fagan saying that we need the right people in the right places. Our current group aren't the right people. They are stale and haven't proven to be any good.

Names that haven't been mentioned as assistants that would be a great addition to our club....A McLeod. W Carey. C Ling. J Bolton.

No doubt that Roo would have sounded out Paul Roos to get the inside info on Dew, given at Roos was prepared to hand Dew the next Melb Coach in waiting without speaking to any other candidates is a glowing endorsement in itself

The club has said they are after the coach who can win us a premiership. I think you're confusing what they club has been saying with Rowie.

Give me some names. I reckon you're going to chuck a tantrum if it is anyone except Clarkson.

Nobody can predict whether Clarkson would be able to replicate his success here.

All but one of the premiership coaches in the last decade were rookie coaches when they joined their club. The one that had 'proven success' took ten years to get a flag (would you give Clarkson until 2025?), and took his team to second last twice.
As much as I would love Clarkson, I can't see how that will ever happen unless the AFC does what it says it want's to do and actually buys one of the best coaches in the land. All coaches are gettable at the right price, if not now, then when their contracts allow. Big words have come from the club and I'm saying Bassett just doesn't fit the big words. This will end in disappointment for most of us unless Bass is appointed and you think Bassett is a better choice than everyone else. If I had the choice of predicting success from Clarkson or bassett…hmmm let me think about that.

Bolton firming I'd say, after Clarko's comments and an interview on Adelaide radio. what comments?
