Stop spoiling the love in with common sense. Amazes me with everything we have been through over the last 15 years how quickly supporters still elevate a new comer to guru status. Be positive but cautious and don't idolise until the runs are on the board.

lol

Mainly by the Rooch who uses every possible opportunity to put the AFC down, whether based on fact or not.

That in itself is absolute proof that we didn't pay that much. :D

The defence rests its case :)
Does anyone take the rooch seriously anymore.

Once it is lodged with the AFL, Caro gets her leak. Then when the AFC announce a press conference, she chimes in that it is about appointing "X" as coach... to claim the scoop.

Although with Sando's sacking it was Gerard Whately as the new favourite for this. He also reported McKenna sacking first.

this is my point to. But at the moment there are many posters on here that are a bit precious and think if you raise this issue you are not part of team crow

But the Review started in JUNE. There were some end of season reviews as part of the overarching review, but it was the review as a whole that was taken into account. So 3 months instead of 2 weeks.

Great post. I could really see Roo standing up and doing a Kernahan-like, "We are Adelaide, *** the rest," speech.

I love Roo, and I want us to be strong with a hint of arrogance, but I didn't like that Sticks line - sounds too much like faux toughness, like when Nigel tried to be Smart with his 'Who cares' about Port line.

Nup. nothing like that amount. My info is that it was slightly less than half that figure due to the application of performance clauses etc. As Chapman quite correctly said, it's part of the cost of doing business. Sacking a coach is a pretty routine process for most clubs and always has been..

Agreed that it's a little bizarre that the Board approved a 2 year extension and then 8/9 months later approved the sacking of the same coach. However there is a whole football season in between those 2 events and a hell of a lot of things can and did go wrong in the period, and I don't think too many think that Sando was unjustly sacked.

As I keep saying, I'd rather we corrected Trigg's last ****-up, than allowed it to hurt us for another 2 years.

Small price to pay.

And its been also implied far more in the media that is 1.2 million.

But that suits their overall agenda that we made a monumental eff-up and sacked a great coach (buckley rating of 8-9/10). They seem a lot happier with the way the Bluey sacking went down and I'd guess McCartney as well if that eventuates. They don't seem to like being blind-sided.

I wonder wether Bass was the man all along. Maybe Chapmans "we want a premiership coach" was in relation of Bass getting two SANFL premierships at Norwood.
This has really been balls up by our inept admin, and if we got Bolton I would be pissed big time. Bassett I can deal with, along with someone like Guy McKenna as his senior assistant.

My info is that Bolton was approached but said he wasn't ready to coach. No reason not to believe my source given who they are. Also, like AA suggested Bassett was interviewed this week. Nothing more was given, so things are being kept very tight.

Having said that, who really knows anymore. If it eventuates that Bassett is the man I hope that they put a strong team around him. I also hope that none of the long term current assistants stay as the coach needs a new team and new direction without compromise.

I don't get your point. However long it takes it should be timed to allow us to have our coach in place for the start of season 2015 which starts on Monday.

If you put me on ignore does that mean I cant see the rubbish you post? If so please go ahead.

I have to laugh when people use the ignore function

Why do these people bother posting on a forum if they're so intolerant to the opinions of others that have to resort to blocking the people who don't agree with them.
