I have another problem, was the killer left or right handed, this hasn't been explored. Both sides have been a bit flimsy with their evidence. I have to try and keep off this site for the day, in case anyone watches the final episode. I'm leaning towards he gets convicted, but didn't do it. He is having flashbacks, is this important. Are they going to put Naz on the stand? So many questions, not enough time in one episode to explore them all.

I especially liked the little cameo right at the end. Really, really enjoyed that series.

Didn't think they could wrap it up as neatly as they did. Wasn't a 'gotcha' moment in that episode, but that was never what this show was about. Really sweet finish, save for the stuff that happened with Chandra.

Turturro was fantastic throughout, but especially terrific in this. Freddie and Naz ended up being a relationship I was highly invested in, the best part of the show for mine. All of the cast, get Bill Camp on more TV Shows! (only a couple of weeks ago, realised he was on the Leftovers).

Overall, first episode is one of the best episodes of tv not only for the year, but like ever. And the rest of the series maintained a terrific quality, just a notch below the first. Show Me A Hero would still take the cake, but as long as HBO keep making these mini-series with quality writers, I can't wait to see what they'll do next year.

yep gotta say i really liked the last ep and the series overall was great, especially the first ep which blew me away. loved the 100 minute runtime as well

Good solid show very enjoyable ..although they were very wishy washy with the evidence..seriously people you stab somebody 22 times , you are going to have their blood splattered from your head to your toes. Not a mention though.

The Night Of, was one of the best things I have ever seen. Sunday watched it , discovered by accident that its on again at 9 am Perth time, on Monday morning . AND! Its the finale!

So then more intrigue.
I watch it for the hour then it went to what seemed an ad for this being the final episode. They advertised Westworld , then blow me down , it starts up again so I check the record session it still has twenty-nine minutes left.

THANK GOD FOR THAT!

The funny part is that my wife who hasn't been watching came in at that time, as I watched the finish of the last hour , and I said to her before the add for Westworld and the announcer saying that was the final in the series of! " I bet they finish this now and we'll be waiting a year for the final !!"

But no it actually finished and the ending was brilliant , but better than that , IT HAD AN ENDING.

It was so brilliant that it had to end , the show doesn't need a follow up.

The producers and directors etc can make another story though , YES PLEASE , different. It was as good as True Detective 1, and the Sopranos, it was class.

Getting back to the final.
I had recorded it , from 9 am our time and was watching in the afternoon , why I hadn't fast forwarded the last ads I don't know, I just didn't, but I was about to get up and walk out and switch the player off. Lucky me.

That brings me to this, what is it with the programming on FOX these days, why was it on early Monday at 9 am, (11 am AEST ). I have heard the IN LINE with the USA thing.

I'm not sure why that matters, but FOX chops and changes every where, same shows different series on different stations and different seasons.

Never get any info off the channels, when a show will disappear or return, or what happened to it, like the Kevin Spacey President thing. Can't think of its bloody name. But it just disappeared to another entertainment organisation, after I'd seen three seasons on FOX.

Now where is Homeland? no one says.

I guess if people go to the new things like Netflix and so on you can call up all these shows when you want them. But I still like FOX for footy and doco's and news, entertainment , so I am left lacking the knowledge , of how to please both needs for entertainment!

Just an amazing show. The first episode was one of the best episodes of television I've ever watched and the show maintained that level throughout.

Fantastic acting, writing, directing.

Who was Naz really? What was he thinking? Who is he now he's out? Such a deep character and every episode I wanted to know more about him. Riz Ahmed deserves all the plaudits coming his way. 10/10.

His relationship inside with Freddie was so interesting, loved the book touch at the end.

The finale wrapped up the story beautifully. Never once thought about the finance guy, the show never really gave us many clues to lead to him.. but then I look back and think why was he willing to break the confidentiality rules and potentially lose his career. Lead Stone down the wrong path.

Turturro was perfect as Stone. Again such an interesting character. Detective Box another. Poor Chandra.

I hope they leave the story at that. If they want to go around again then go down the True Detective route, new characters new story, etc.

Great show. Solid finale. Who did it? [emoji28]

In a way it tied up loose ends but did it really? Or am I just staying too open minded.

I was half expecting a Primal Fear style end.

With all the wishy washy crap they produce nowadays it's good to see some top quality still getting produced, HBO just does it so much better than anyone else.

Yeah a terrific end to it all. Left it sort of tied up but some questions remain for us to ponder.

Showed how the system can change and possible destroy people.

Will Naz get his shit together now he is out? Has the system made him a criminal? Was he guilty anyway?

Manitowoc County, Wisconson investigators in their new job?

Really good show the casting was so spot on :thumbsu: The closing argument from John Turturro was superb. Bill Camp is just great. You know it's a good show when the character Chandra who initially looked like not being a very substantial character becomes quite compelling and interesting character in her own right. One of those shows where you feel like 4-5 actors deserve the top acting honors.

Wow. Finished the last two episodes last night.

I loved how uncomfortable Box looked on the stand. Chandra's questioning of him was intense and confident. She knew exactly what she was doing. Every scene from the trial was perfect. You could see the doubt creeping into Box's mind after each question.

Chandra kissing Naz was stupid.

I wish they showed them pursuing Hale.

Absolutely flawless television. Torturo was fantastic - all the actors were, really.
