The Taliban control a lot of the major roads and passes. The lack of morale is usually a symptom, or combination of, poor officers, poor equipment and defeatism. It is sad for all those genuine believers.

Part of it, more so they never built up any true self-reliance and relied on American contractors for maintenance and resupply. No one can replace or fix parts, so you can't use it.
