Haze ruled out of the first Test. Who plays now? Presumably Doggett I guess as the only quick bowler in the squad still standing. Starc, Boland and Doggett isn’t exactly the scariest looking combination though.

Think they probably go with Green at 3 and Webster at 6 now too.

Good stuff, corn chip! You two have great flow between topics, and venture into other discusssions without getting too sidetracked. About halfway through I was thinking it was all a bit agreeable, but then like 3 seconds later we got into some push-back and confrontation and that persisted for the rest of the thing. Interesting couple of days watching the Poms at Lilac. First off, bring back by the trial match at Lilac, great ground simply picturesque but the ECB/ACB can go jump forcing mid strength to be sold.

Flat as a tac pitch (curator do better) so can’t read that much into it but the bowling unit struggled for long periods to create any chances. The batting looked almost like no care, just go the biff.

Jordan Archer looked like had another level to go to, Stokes is just Stokes and Pope and Crawley looked great. Will be an interesting series.

So after playing Melbourne in Adelaide, Scorchies are currently playing Adelaide in Melbourne in a game that started 7am Perth time. CA makes the AFL look well run

Don't mind it. Voges has been great, possibly one of the greatest WA player-coaches of all time, but it's good to see the cautionary tale of the West Coast Eagles hasn't been ignored by the WACA.

Plenty of talent in WA cricket and hopefully a fresh voice can resonate with the shield and one day squads.

A shaky start from recollection and then a total domination of the domestic scene. Well done and thank you Adam!

Good decision and it probably won’t do his CV any harm. This current Aussie side is aging and I don’t think McDonald will be hanging around that much longer and might also step down once alot of that senior core leaves. Good opportunity for him to get some experience now so that he can be a front runner for the top gig.
