I don't think either news is all that welcome for football in general. Grimes is a big loss.

Vickery less so, unless Big Ivan goes down, in which case they're stuffed.

You would have to think that Connors is cooked, but it'll be very interesting to see how they deal with a cog as vital as Martin.

I don't really have much sympathy for them with Connors, he's had the same "issues" for 4+ years that I know of.
Bit hard to say exactly what anything's worth without having a clue what really happened.
Connors' rapsheet puts him on such a knife edge that even being linked with anything would give them just cause (cf Fevola, B).

I suspect Martin will miss a fair few weeks. Needs to smarten up a bit, but no biggie IMHO (first publicised "issue").

The very very odd bit is Connor's manager basically threatening to 'go public'.
That is very, very odd; casts a whole new load of suspicion onto it.

I think I'll watch the opening half of tonight's contest against Carlton and Collingwood, then switch it over to the Federer match.

I don't know who to despise least tonight. A Collingwood loss is handy and consequently results in them potentially falling straight out of the top four this weekend, or a Carlton loss just continues their glorious losing streak and makes it all the more difficult for them to clinch a spot in the finals.
