There is no way they keep selling a $1700 TV for $1445. No way.

If the model is discontinued, if they're trying to clear stock etc etc.

I'm not suggesting that's definitely what's happening with yours but there are several reasons they'd keep it at a lower price.

Exactly. Still makes it a good deal. Not sure how he's been 'had' lol.
 
If I pick up a fridge that has a slight dent at it for 40% off or whatever, that's a good deal, even if they then bring down the retail price for that model to the price I paid a month later.

Just got 0.50% off my home loan and loan variation fees waived (I am borrowing $80K cash from my equity) simply by ringing up my current lender and threatening to refinance.

My new monthly repayment is going to be $150 more with 80k cash in my pocket to spend on home renos and a new car. All of you guys with a loan should do it, there's room to move with most lenders not passing on full rate cuts for quite some time.

Nice. I've spent thousands this year doing my home up. Not got a lot left on my mortgage, probably pay the thing off shortly - but will look to do a loan of some sort when I am no longer paying off a mortgage. I'd rather have the cash now while I'm still relatively young than when I'm old and shit
 
It's all a timing thing with the on sale thing. The store is still making a good margin on the on sale amount. Just gotta wait it out when looking out for big ticket items there's always a sale every month or two
