Anyone else on here ever moved cities and organised a rental before getting there?

Moving back to Melbourne in November just trying to work out how well go find a rental whilst not being there too much the month before. I've got friends and family who can go to viewings for us. But it's more about impressing the agent these days which will be hard from across the ditch

I haven't rented for 8 years now!! They generally want rental history unless you're prepared to fork out something like 3 months rental up front. I do on my investment.

Shit that's going to be tough. Been living with family for 2 years and then rented in London where it's dodgy as **** and we weren't on the lease.

Yes, did it for NYC. It wasn't easy, but luckily did have a friend there who was able to check it out for me. They wanted a 1 month bond and then 3 months rent upfront (so essentially 4 months worth), but not sure what the process here would be. I'm not suggesting it would be similar, every situation is different.

As for impressing the agent, most of that would be in writing wouldn't it? ie your application and supporting information. Or another alternative would be to put the lease in your friend/family members name(s) if they are open to that (again, not ideal but could be helpful).

Anyone else had issues getting FIFA started? It's fully downloaded, but after I do that first RM-AM game it just goes to a blank intro screen with music playing. Tried restarting console, taking disc out, etc, nothing worked. And each time I tried I had to play through that ****ing game again.
