Anyone watched the Leftovers yet? Easily as good as Sopranos if not better and as good as the Wire for me.

Yeah, now that it's finished I definitely think it's up there with those two shows as the best I've seen. It's so cool seeing Melbourne play such a big part in the final season too.

What's the Leftovers about?

Really hard to describe as it is a bizarre show but basically 2% of the worlds population vanishes without a trace and the show deals with the other 98% leftover. So it is essentially about grief, how people move on (or don't) and the search for closure in a world gone mad with grief. It pulls a lot of emotional punches that stick with you long after viewing and the acting is just insane.

Yeah unbelievable acting across the board. If Carrie Coon doesn't get an award for her performances then there is no justice in the world.

It's only three seasons too guys so not a long investment either.

Yikes, sorry to hear that Cruyff. I know a guy that was meek in secondary school (I don't want to be mean here), and later on, has been doing all sorts of dodge stuff. Tragic to hear what becomes of people when you have known them for a bit... well, you know of them, since they were the same year level and all, and well, this happens.

Had one similar. The two brothers in the Peru Six were in my year level. Found not guilty in the end.

It's strange as time goes on how all the people you went to school with pan out.

One girl I went to high school with, same year, friendly to eachother but not actually friends outside of school. She apparently overdosed in 2011. But a guy she was seeing at the time is dodgy as hell.

The dodgy guy who many think is responsible had a previous girlfriend who hung herself. Years before that, the same guy was with a 14 year old kid when the teenager called his dad and said "goodbye dad" and then shot himself.

Then the girl I went to high school with OD's and she was dating him.

So that's three people that dodgy bloke has been around who have ended up dead.

I think he is so abusive and he prays on weak people and convinces them to kill themselves. Horrible stuff.

Life is crazy sometimes.

Now that is the synopsis for a depressing tv show , except the first guys father or maybe someone from each of the other victims family's get together and through a series of twists and turns execute the perfect plan to get that prick in the end. Oh yeah don't forget the cop who is on to the conspiracy works it all out and has the chance to stop it decides not too even though it kills him and goes against every thing he stands for
