If people are that close minded that they look for any excuse to vote in a particular way that doesn't actually align with the reason for the vote, then that's their prerogative. I tend to suspect anyone looking for any excuse to vote "no" or vote Trump etc. would have done so anyway but were too cowardly to pin their flag to that mast without a half-hearted excuse.

I don’t recall ever seeing anyone get abuse hurled at them when walking down the street for being gay. You just imagine that’s the case. I knew a few gays going back best part of 30 years now - they seemed perfectly at ease with themselves. People knew where the line was - it’s just we didn’t have a big brother society telling us exactly what to say, think or do. People seemed a lot more happier because of it trust me. Most young people I engage with now can’t even look you in the eye when they talk to you. The only thing they care about are their phones. I found it all very sad actually but c’est la vie

30 years ago you say? In 1989-90, in North London of all places, there was a series of murders. The common theme between the victims was that they were gay. When was the last time that you had your life threatened because of your sexual orientation?

this is after a few months ago he had to sack 2 high execs in the AFL for using their position to have affairs with young female colleagues.

See the thing is mate, having spoken to you 'in person' so to speak, I know that a lot of what you write on here is just to stir up debate and opinions, and you yourself have admitted to it before. But what I don't understand is why you're perfectly happy playing the bigot when I know that you are far more open minded than you come across. Why do you dig yourself into such silly positions just for the sake of it?

The only one who is steadfastedly refusing to acknowledge potential truth in an alternate point of view is you. Despite facts, evidence, anecdotes and compelling arguments being put to you. You just stop engaging with a line of discussion and pick at something else, forever moving on to a new topic or line of argument rather than opening your mind to the possibility that your view of the world is incorrect.

Everyone has been able to grasp everything you've said perfectly well, the simple fact of the matter is you're either a close minded bigot refusing to grasp anything we've said, or you're just stirring up debate. I suspect and hope strongly that it's the latter, but with each passing day you're descending further into the mindless contrarian viewpoints that FAITH and TC have previously made their own.

I’m actually trying to open you up to wider issues. You’re (and so many others) are stuck in this mindset though and I am unable to move you from it. I’m able to see the damage both the left and the right have done. That’s basically all it is.
