Just found out my uncle with cancer has a month to live.

3 grandkids under 5 never getting to know their Pa. Know how that feels having lost my grandfather at 8 amd having scarcely any tangible memories of him.

More worried for my grandmother. Had a rough couple of years and now has to bury her son soon. In all likelihood.

Stay strong mate and be there for those that will need you.

I just saw a new story on channel 10 of the local IGA right around the corner from me getting broken into last night. Basically the father and son who own the store fought off the intruders (who had a gun) and proceeded to beat the shit out of the intruders with baseball bats. The CCTV footage was crazy. It’s the sort of crazy shit you would see in a Jackie Chan movie lol.

I was in that same location just last Tuesday with my mum and sister. Right across the road at the cupcake shop.

Scary stuff for anyone in that area. Fortunately no one was in the tavern (which included the culprits who escaped out the back whilst cops were surrounding the building).

Yeah, that’s correct.

Yesterday morning I took my Dog for a walk passed those shops on the opposite side (passed the primary school that I went to in the 90s) and I actually noticed about 5 people in suits outside the IGA and one was taking a photo of a woman. I only glanced over to them as I had no clue what had happened at that point so didn’t think anything of it. When I was watching the news last night I saw the same woman was doing the report in the morning.

I must say, the whole thing is nutty. You never see two shop workers take on 4 masked intruders with a gun that they actually fire and end up beating the shit out of one of them whilst the other 3 intruders flee in fear.

I understand why things like hand sanitizer, soap etc is in short supply. But hoarding toilet paper is a bit random. Saw a photo doing the rounds yesterday of a man with a trolley full of condoms, and a jar of coconut oil. I'm guessing he has his priorities sorted....
