You could probably play it from your iPhone to a Samsung TV. Thats not really a limitation of the OS, more of the app itself and how it allows to be viewed (Chromecast, smart view, etc)

It certainly helps. My samsung phone connects to my tv directly with no issues. I know you said you don't want to buy anything extra, but if you could get your hands on a Telstra TV or similar android set top box and watch Kayo via that. Failing that, the $99 chromecast ultra is good if all you're interested in is streaming sports.

Well sure but you're falling into the same traps man, you don't need everything to be on brand. Just get an Apple TV or a Chromecast or whatever, they aren't that expensive.

I've already got the TV and am very happy with Samsung for that. I'm now looking at getting a new phone and weighing up Apple v Samsung, the ease of connectivity between phone and tv isn't the deciding factor but more a nice extra bonus

Wow, that's shit luck. The worst I got was my phone decided to delete all my numbers one day, but I managed to get round that.

All my iPhones have been as reliable as ever. Sold most of them on eBay ranging from $250 - $450 with accessories and boxes etc.

Traded in my 8S and paid $100 to Optus one year into my contract and got the XS as a result. Think it's great.

I’ve used a lot of both as the phones via work used to be iPhones however I had an android phone personally. Honestly, once you get the hang of it they’re all the same to me. Switching either way is quite simple.

I’m a bit of a cheapskate at times (which is why I haven’t bought a chromecast as yet, I’m waiting for the Kayo smart tv app instead). So I used to buy Kogan phones, I’m no tech expert but when you compare the specs of them they stack up quite well. Especially at such a lower price.

I’m in a shit situation with my iPhone. Had the 8s but cracked t and had 9 months left on contract with virgin. Was gonna upgrade but found out virgin is being phased out of Australia so I can’t. Went to apple and was gonna cost $600 for a refurbished phone. Then someone from Optus told me that virgin will possibly waive the fee on the phone when there is 6 months or less on the contract so I’ve been stuck with a mates iPhone 6 until then. The battery life is horrendous on it.

I’ve been apple all my life and I don’t think I could change systems because feel like it’s too much effort to transfer everything across.

It's actually super easy to transfer everything across. Like I think there's just an app you get and it transfers all your apps/files from one device to the next even from Android to Apple.

Literally an app for it. The only effort is waiting.

Part of their job and brand is to create things we didn't know could improve our lives. When was the last time they made people go wow?

They were the best at it when the iPod, iTunes and iPhone first came on the scene but now they've fallen behind.
