I have tried mini golf as a first data idea with drinks afterwards. Its worked well :thumbsu:

Would never go with with the movies as a first date choice though.

Our local movie theatres fixed the arm rests so they couldn't go up because they were sick of cleaning...well, you know.

Thankfully, this bird likes the movie idea. We're going out for dinner afterwards so don't see the big deal really.

Oh and Tinder is the best haha. Actually how I met this one. Lot's of fun to be had on there if you're single though!
I hope your tinder profile is up to scratch ;)

Table tennis bar used to do the trick. Nothing like making a bet over a few drinks to get the banter flowing

hahahha I havent tried that yet...

Invaded is not the right word, but it certainly wasn't 'settled peacefully' either.

And yeah, James Cook was not the first to discover Australia, wasn't it the Dutch? And they called it New Holland or something.

When you peel it all back and look at the actions of what happened. Invaded is as good a word as any. Doesn't sound great I know but people came and violently took something that wasn't originally theirs

Yeah look it'd be hypocritical of me to say it's bad Australia got European settlement. But I do think it should go down in history and be taught more correctly

Thankfully we live in the internet age (or out of China) so anyone who really wants to find out what really happened basically can without much trouble

Every country really does some shitty things in terms of whitewashing history, like the Japanese with their world war 2 stuff and so forth

Also, there's no doubt they sugarcoat it with the "cook found Australia and everyone settled peacefully". It was chaos in reality and what really went down.

As the old wartime saying goes, " history is written by the victors".

The truth unfortunately isn't as glossy as its made out to be when learning about it in school. But, we all wouldn't be here at the moment. It's a polarizing topic.

I think the point is the Aboriginals discovered Australia first.

What time do you watch a movie..?
It's a week night. If the movie starts at 7:30/8 won't finish til 9:30/10 at the earliest, then by the time you get to where you want to eat, and get your food, my statement doesn't look so silly.

How long are the movies you watch? Lol. I watch a movie at 6.30/7 and I'll be out for dinner at 9. Your statement is silly.
