Edit - that being said, 30points isn't such a massive lead that everyone makes it out to be. 5-6 goals is really not that big of a gap in the modern game IMO.

Holy shit I am on cloud nine. Umpiring not nearly as bad as some of the comments in here suggest, and I could complain about the amount of holding calls Goddard could've received.

Shoei I disagree. McGuire was calling every tackle as a free kick for the Eagles, it was unbelievable.

I don't like blaming umpires for losses. They generally do the best they can and it's unfortunate that a wrong call, in any game, at the death can be the difference between a win and a loss.

What's more damning is despite a 4 point loss, Essendon had 100+ more disposals. That's why we lost.

And we'll have to agree to disagree on the commentators, though truth be told, i'd mute every single one of them every single game if I had a choice. They offer nothing to my viewing experience and in most cases just make it worse. But at the same time I can't stand not hearing the actual game.
