lol.

Australia doesn't have the money to pay them ALL to come (Well, they do, but it wouldn't be logical)
Australia doesn't have the population to make it viable for any of those teams to come more than once every 5 (more realistically 10) years.

Having said that. I wouldn't be shocked if we got Manchester City here every 2-3 year as part of a Heart-Man C-NYFC tri-way series.
I'm sorry but I think you owe me an apology. http://bit.ly/VeQqea

Knew about his battle for a while and you could see it in his face and eyed during interview that he was't happy. Horrible problem that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Loved him in 'One hour photo'. His best movie for mine soooooooooo creepy.
He's terrific in that. You know he is an absolutely terrific actor when he has been spending the best part of 25 years making you laugh. Then he makes you scared. Think of some of the other great comics of the last quarter of a century. They could never pull that off.

Good Will Hunting is probably my favourite role of his.

The emotion he is able to evoke is so, so powerful. Although I did not appreciate the filmer saying stuff at the start. Be quiet and let him speak. At least she shut up when he was singing. It may well make its way to the top 10 greatest songs I've ever heard.

Apparently Brother is about him sleeping with his best mate's girlfriend. That is a ******* class song. All his songs are great.

Are you familiar with Noah and the Whale? (Think I asked you this last week)
Yeah stupid bitch at the start ruins it. Hold up.... this is the same performance which somebody else filmed from a different angle without the stupid girl at the beginning.

Although the original video you do get to hear him speak about the song and what it's about which you dont get in the video above.

Top 10 greatest songs you have ever heard?! Wow! That's high praise. I really do think he is utterly amazing though. Runaway probably my favourite but Brother is right up there as is a song called My False.

I had to look up what Brother was about when I first heard it because it's such a great tune. I did learn that it was about himself and how ashamed and angry he was at himself for nailing his best mate's girlfriend. Brother is a great, great track, but when he just performs it on his own on his guitar it better than the radio edit that was put out.

Not sure if you've seen this version he did for Like A Version on Triple J but it's astonishing. The ending is ridiculous, the raw emotion he has as he sings, you can tell he feels so bad about what he did and it just explodes out of him. He's amazing. Here it is, if you havent heard it.

But Runaway is insane. Cant wait for an album. He is at the very top of my wanting to see live list. Would kill to go to a secret garden show.

Also Ive never heard of Noah and the Whale. Would have to be epic to be even remotely close to what Corby does though.

On Lisa Mitchell, this is just exquisite

I do rate Lisa Mitchell. Love this track.

On Robin Williams, a big loss. Very funny guy who was an extremely versatile actor, and one of the few who would pull of an Aussie accent.

This is fantastic

What I love about this is that Stiles, Mochrie and Brady are all VERY good at what they do. All three are brilliant with ad libbing and just creating laughs from nothing. Yet they seem in awe of Williams. It's like being Kobe Bryant and knowing you are great, but playing Jordan and just being all like... well, nothing I can do.

Here are some random facts on him

http://www.news.com.au/entertainmen...lliams-odd-facts/story-fn907478-1227022303851

Turns out pretty much all of his role in Aladdin was adlibbed.
Yeah strangly this one has hit me pretty hard. It's weird when Ive never met the guy, dont know anybody he knows and have no association with him at all. Also every time I do see him, in moves etc he is playing a character.

So Robin Williams is a complete stranger to me. So are the million or so other people that died all over the planet today. But of course he is such a huge part of my childhood and growing up and he has made me laugh so many times, it's like losing a good mate.

Celebrities die all the time but I think the only one that hit me this hard was maybe Heath Ledger and that was because he was from my town. He felt like one of my own, we had probably partied in the same places, shopped at the same shops. Plus he was so young and so epically talented. I still miss Heath. He would have won so many oscars nobody would know what to do with him. I honestly believe he would have gone down with the greats had he not died so young.

So yeah, just Heath I think has hit me with the same impact as Robin Williams. Also because he was always so happy and full of life and then to see that it was depression that got him and he killed himself. Just horrible. It wakes you up a little and scares you a little because if he isnt happy, you wonder how many other people, people you really care about are perhaps hiding something.

Sad day.

Also I loved that tidbit of info whee Spielberg would ring him up during the filming of Schindlers List and put him on speaker phone and then just ask him to make everyone laugh to pick up the spirits of the cast and crew. Amazing.

Also probably the only guy in the world who you could meet in the street, comedians wise and do the whole... "Oh your funny, say something funny" No doubt he could just ad lib and go off on some rant and have you pissing your pants in no time.

What are people's favourite movies?

My top 3 in no real order are:
The Fugitive
500 Days of Summer
The Usual Suspects.

Probably get cained for having 500 in there but I absolutely adore that movie. JGL is great, I love the script, the story, the soundtrack and some of the quotes are freaking amazing.

In terms of comedies though, Superbad is the funniest movie I've ever seen. Watched it with seven other mates and it came out when we were all 18, literally the funniest movie going experience ever. None of us stopped laughing the entire time.

Over to you, chaps.
The Prestige

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Notting Hill

Yeah, at least she was quite during the performance though, and it was good to hear the background of the song.

It has that 'thing' about it, which for me, puts it on another level to most other songs. The raw and pure emotion that isn't manufactured, the lyrics, the arrangement, all of which combine perfectly to create what is Runaway. I am familiar with My False also. Corby feels songs and knows how to connect, he is very good at doing that.

Brother is another quality song, too. His falsetto is amazing.

Noah and the Whale are completely different to Corby, but good in their own right.

This is them, love the lyrics in this. I highly recommend checking out their stuff.

And any use of strings will pretty much win me over.

As for the top 10 talk, I am sure you know Skinny Love, which is also in there (note it's best songs I've heard - not my favourites). I could probably fill it with just Springsteen songs to be perfectly honest, but some of the other songs I have in the 10 have left me completely speechless at points in awe of how amazing they are.

This probably gets in the top three. His voice is angelic. May possibly be the most beautiful and heartbreaking song I will ever hear. Brings tears to my eyes a lot of the time. Masterpiece. Everything about it is perfect.

Top of the pile is obviously Bruce (I can hear your shouts of bias already), but I know, 100%, I will not hear a better song than this, and nobody is going to convince me otherwise. To you it's just a really long song you probably couldn't care less for and don't see anything spectacular about. But to me, everything about it is flawless. The piano intro, the imagery, the story, the arrangement, the way the band comes announces itself after you've shouted "Down in Jungleland" at the top of your lungs, the sax solo, Bruce's heartbreaking wails to close the song, all of it blows me away every time I listen to it. It is a song that shook me to my core (and still does) and made the blood rush through my veins vigorously. All the while appreciating how this was written by someone at the age of 24/25. That's what really blew me away. How could someone, let alone someone so young produce something like this? It left me gob-smacked as a young adult first hearing it at 18 and I still have trouble wrapping my head around it. Cried like a baby when I finally heard it live.

You can hear people crying around the 54 second mark. I know exactly how they feel.

Don't know that song, but I like it. Makes me feel incredibly happy. Love the riff.

Did anyone see what MMA fighter War Machine did to his girlfriend ex-Pornstar Christy Mack? Came over to her house and beat the shit out of her.

18 broken bones in her face, missing and broken teeth, fractured ribs, ruptured liver etc etc....

But the saddest part is the amount of men/women that are saying "Oh she was ****ing some dude when he came over and he snapped, if she wasn't such a whore it wouldn't have happened....."

Well you cant beat someone like that so that is wrong. I mean unless you are fearful for your life or someone has maybe murdered your children or parents or something then sure, do that. But yeah she is a whore and she is ****ing some other guy, but you cant go beating the woman within an inch of her life. Did he beat the **** out of the guy too?

Still bitches be bitches. Haha

Yeah he did according to her statement. Not nearly as bad as her though.

But according to her statement to the police the guy she was with was fully clothed and there was no sexual intercourse happening.

We don't have his story because he is on the run.

Cruyff14 I really liked that Blue Skies track. The second song was pretty good too. I love some strings myself. I love a bit of classical and I love movie scores.

They were good, not Matt Corby but good.

Runaway literally blows my mind everytime I hear it.

I liked that Patrick Wilson track. He just reminded me so much of Chris Martin from Coldplay. Coldplay are one of my favourite bands to that was a win for me.

But I just cant get on board with you on The Boss. He just seems so average to me. I have just never managed to get into him, even his hit songs I dont even like. He's good though, I mean you can see that he is and he has millions of fans but at the end of the day he isnt The Beatles, or the Stones, or Dylan or Hendrix or Led Zeppelin etc etc

Lol on the run. If he was fully clothed then that's just ridiculous. You come home to your girlfriend chatting to a friend so you beat them both to death nearly. His MMA career will have to go on hold as he will no doubt be spending a lot of his future in a cell.
