My issue isn't with them being flogs. She clearly proved herself with her actions afterwards. Just that it's a bit rich telling someone to be quiet in the first place when I know for a fact how loud you/we get talking sport etc. ;)

I think the point is though, if you've asked politely, you'd like to think someone would be a bit more considerate in a small/shared public space that a flight cabin has.

Anyway, you see some interesting things on a flight. It's a great leveller. All walks of society.

Yeah how she handled it once asked wouldnt be what i'd like to think most people would do. I guess I just see the irony of cruffy asking thats all

But the thing is we shouldn't be asked to keep it down at 5pm in the first place.
Not like I had anywhere to move though. And when it's virtually in your ear, I think anyone has a right to be pissed off.

Like I said, wouldn't be noisy on a plane.

Girlfriend fainted this morning and had two mini fits/seizures and had to be taken to the ER. After some tests she's been diagnosed with the flu. Scary for a moment there. Back home now and I am playing Dr. Cruyff.

I'll be the first to admit I am loud, but in a public space I am not an arseh*le and would not intentionally go out of my way to inconvenience (for lack of a better word) someone.

I also try and keep my voice down in places like planes, cinemas etc. And if someone asked me I certainly wouldn't be a shit of a bloke back and respond like she did.

I guess I don't see a during the day flight the same as a library or a cinema. No doubt I'd expect most to not act like a w***er after being asked to keep it down. But it would annoy me it coming up in a public place like that or on a train/bus

Shit scary indeed!! God help her if your looking after her. Hope she's feeling better

I'd never confront someone on a train because you never know what they could have on them etc.

But on that, does that mean it's OK to play your music on loudspeaker from your phone on the bus/train?

Could be a lot worse considering, but if the flu is what's come out of what happened, it's not so bad. Scary though seeing someone you care about convulse.

Music on a loudspeaker is just nonsense they deserve to be pulled up. Why should they decide that everyone listens to the music they want to listen to? Wouldn't compare talking loud to that either imo

Shit, hope all is well.

He never said they were swearing did he? I agree if people are saying inappropriate things they should be pulled up. But loud chatter isn't that bad. I know for a fact that if Cruyff and a few of our mates were in a conversation things would get loud and that the conversation probably would annoy some people
No, swearing around kids was another example. If you're all for free society where people can do whatever they want good on you, but in society we live by certain rules, and being aware of your surroundings is one of them.

Volume is not comparable to foul language

This is quite often me in a cinema.

As I've said many times my issue isn't with calling them idiots after the way she reacted. Just that there's no need to be told to be quiet if you're not being offensive or swearing during daytime hours. And without them being told to be quiet they probably don't act like complete tools from then on they just stay as they were, 3 friends talking to each other at 5pm

There is if you're disturbing people around you. It's common courtesy mate.

What gives cruffy more right to read a book than them talk to each other?
Probably because reading a book doesn't disturb others? It's possible to talk at a normal volume and not disturb people.

They paid the same money as him to use that plane and to talk to each other. He chooses to do so silently. They choose to talk. Neither is offensive. One is more annoying but end of the day it's their right to talk as much as its his not to

You can think it's as ironic as you like, but I am not inconsiderate prick who doesn't give a shit about others around me.

Two other people - who I did not know, also agreed with me.
I'm sure there's been many occasions where inadvertently you didn't think of your surroundings mate
