How long does Moyes last if ManU's current form continues?

If their current form continues? A month.

I would expect if United miss Champions League then Moyes will be turfed at the end of the season. And this is looking pretty solid. Gonna be hard for them to get above City and Chelsea and if Arsenal and Spurs form continues for the year, United are toast.

And I'm gonna call this now, Liverpool's team with Suarez back is better than Uniteds at the moment.

I've got them finishing 5-6th, Moyes and Rooney both departing for different reasons and they'll reach City-like heights of recruiting in the summer transfer period.

Can I say that there seems to be a high proportion of Arsenal fans among North BigFooty posters. I wonder why? There isn't a lot of similarity between the two clubs

Januzaj......that kid is a talent.
Moyes doesn't know how to use him or Kagawa. Ross Barkley is thriving under Martinez, reckon he's got a huge future. Everton should give him a nice long contract now.

Anyone think Man U are utilising the wrong formation for the squad they've got at their disposal? At the moment they use a 4-4-2 which doesn't really allow kids like Januzaj or Kagawa to their full potential. although One could argue that stopping with the 4-4-2 wont allow Rooney/RVP to show their full talent, with RVP as the target man and and Rooney as the #10.

A 4-2-3-1 will allow Kagawa to play in the number 10 which is where he's best at. That of course drops Rooney from the starting xi.

They can loan Januzaj to Everton to play under Martinez, much like Lukaku and Barkley are doing at the moment.

And that's the strange dilemma that Moyes has right now. I don't know how you play all those players together either but it doesn't look like he's taken the job with a clear vision of how he wants United to play.

When Brendan Rodgers took over Liverpool he had a system in his head of how he wanted his team to play. It took a long while but its starting to come to fruition. 3-5-2 is unusual but it's working for Rodgers. I reckon it may be out of Moyes' comfort zone but it's something he should look at. I mean, United has got quite a lot of good centre backs: Vidic, Ferdinand, Evans, Smalling and Jones, play three of them, 2 wing backs, Jones or Fellaini or whoever as a defensive midfielder, Carrick as deep lying play maker, januzaj or kagawa in the 'hole' behind the strikers and RVP and Rooney up front.

Forget wingers, width and crossing can come from the wing backs. Wenger sold Gervinho and with Walcott, Podolski and Oxlade-Chaimberlin all injured he's pretty much played no wingers all season except for Gnabry a few times. Its working alright for him.

The thing that's strange for me about united is that one thing we know about Moyes is that he can coach a good defence because he did it at Everton for so long. But what's happened to that defensive instinct since he's joined United?

He's probably come in with a philosophy of wanting to play attacking football. That, or the board has requested an attacking style.

Regarding the formation, a wingerless formation might be good considering who they've got that can play on the wing. Nani's past it, Young is just awful anyway, Kagawa's better in the hole, Giggs is better in the centre, Januzaj better off going out on loan for a season. Valencia is their only player that I would say is somewhat decent outwide.

Yep you've hit the nail on the head there.

In terms of the title race, City have the best and deepest squad I don't think anyone denies that. But I think that if Mourinho can start working his magic then your fellas are the team to beat. Big game tomorrow night. Who would you rather in your team, Hazard and Mata or Ozil and Cazorla? Pretty hard to split them for me.

I bookmarked this game at the start of the season that would make or break our season. Seems about right at the moment. Personally, I didn't expect Chelsea to challenge for the title in Mou's first season back. I knew it would take a season or 2 to get the squad playing the game he wants. He'll get the squad he wants during the initial 2 seasons, then challenge in all competitions after that. From a Chelsea point of view, Hazard/Mata are definitely who I would want, not to say Ozil/Cazorla aren't quality cus they are. If those 2 are able to keep up their quality all season, then your guys are my bet for the title.

I hope for a Chelsea win, just so my brother doesn't go around crowing all day:p

City are definitely going places, their performance against Bayern bar the first 20 confirms that.

It does seem like that doesn't it. Both are exciting to watch and both have a good core of young players. Also north fans make better decisions ;)

Gotta be out of Chelsea and City, yeah?

Di Maria to United. Pretty ****ing decent player although not sure where he will fit into the 11 if 3-5-2 is the go.

United need at least 2 more signings to set the squad up, a capable defensive mid and a strong CB. That and some luck with injury.
