HC is a great album, lots of top notch songs on there, far better than SOTSOG that's for sure.

SOTSOG is far darker thats for sure. Chuck Lets All Make Believe on it and it lifts it up a fair bit. Great great B side, great vocal, great lyrics. Why a B side and Little James gets on the album? ____ed if i know.

I remember there was discussion that the two albums should have been merged together. Probably not possible but it's interesting to think about it. My tracklisting for a combined album of those two would be...

Fruckin In The Bushes
Go Let It Out!
Who Feels Love?
The Hindu Times
Gas Panic!
Stop Crying Your Heart Out
Songbird
Where Did It All Go Wrong?
Hung In A Bad Place
Let's All Make Believe
Little By Little
Roll It Over

It would be a pretty weird album because there are two very contrasting sounds on each of those albums but I'd be happy with a list like that

Prob all in the mind is rubbish imo.

Its amazing how many fake demos and new songs have been floating about on the net in the last day or so. All so some shocking supposed lyrics for the new single. Oasis still attract more hype than 99% of bands out there :thumbsu:

I love HC and SOTSOG but the awesomeness of Go Let It Out makes SOTSOG slightly better.

Heh Jay Z walked out for his Glasto set to Wonderwall and mock mimed it. Apparently one of the biggest crowds ever to see a Pyramid show. Well...He certainly showed Noel up lol

Noel didn't bag out Jaz Z though did he? He said he though having a Hip Hip artist headlining Glasto was a mistake.

Ummmm I don't think he personally attacked Jay Z but this was the particular article taken from NME website:

Jay-Z headlined Glastonbury tonight (June 28) in front of one of the largest crowds the Pyramid Stage has ever seen.

Following the controversial build up over the choice to have a rapper top the bill at the festival, a large number of fans turned up to see what would happened, and Jay-Z tackled the dissent straight on from the opening.

Before taking to the stage, a video mash up played that chopped up Noel Gallagher's statement that: "I don't want hip-hop at Glastonbury."

Based around the guitarist's objections, footage of world leaders, celebrities and fans were spliced together into a video montage.

It ended with Gallagher' saying: "Jay-Z has got no _______ chance" as the rapper took to the stage and mimed along to Oasis' 'Wonderwall', before declaring "I've just got one thing to say" then launched straight into '99 Problems', which he spliced with AC/DC's 'Back In Black' guitar riff.

Introducing 'I Know', Jay-Z then told the crowd: "For those who didn't get the memo I'm Jay-Z and I'm pretty awesome!"

Stopcryingyourheartout.com and Live4ever.us can now reveal one more album track for the highly anticipated new Oasis record "Dig Out Your Soul" which will be hitting the stores on October 6th. Oasis had announced that the first single to make its debut will be named " The Shock of the Lightning "

We can now tell you that another song is called " Get Off Your High Horse ( Lady ) " and that Stop the Clocks will likely be the discs closing track.

Although this news has been forwarded to us from a reliable inside source both scyho and l4e can not vouch for the detail's complete authenticity.

ooooohhh exciting :D:thumbsu:

I don't think STC would make a great album closer. RM would be much better but I don't want any of those songs on the new album I want 11 new songs.

Tracklisting so far for Dig Out Your Soul:

1) The Shock Of The Lightning
2) Get Off Your High Horse (Lady)

Can't wait for DOYS I hope they give us some more information in the near future...

Oasis changed album title because of Geri Halliwell

by Music-News.com - July 5 2008

Oasis changed the title of their new album after realising it shared its name with a Geri Halliwell song.

The rockers' forthcoming seventh studio LP was originally due to be called 'Bag It Up' until Noel Gallagher's long-term girlfriend realised she had heard the title before.

The guitarist revealed to MOJO magazine: 'My girlfriend said, 'Bag It Up', isn't that a song by Geri Halliwell?' I was like, 'You've ruined my entire f***ing year.' '

Noel also revealed the band can't remember some of the songs they recorded in the sessions for the album, which is now titled 'Dig Out Your Soul'.

He explained: 'I was doing the Electric Proms with The Coral, who had recorded at my studio. They'd had a sneaky listen to our new stuff so singer James Skelly asks me, 'Are you going to do 'Soldier On'?

'I don't remember it. Turns out Andy Bell recorded it with Liam – but Liam still doesn't remember it.'

The band recently recruited Robbie Williams' former drummer Chris Sharrock – and Noel admits he couldn't resist the chance to hire his rival's former employee. Noel said: 'It was too much of a temptation to p**s Robbie and Liam off in one phone call.'

'Dig Out Your Soul' is released on October 6. Geri Halliwell released 'Bag It Up' in 2000, scoring her third solo number one in the UK singles chart.

Noel Gallagher speaks about knife crime

Noel Gallagher has joined the debate concerning knife crime amongst young people.

Speaking at the Silver Clef Music Therapy awards, the Oasis songwriter admitted that the topic is inescapable.

"I was up in Liverpool for a week a couple of weeks ago and even on the news there it's every single night," said Gallagher told BBC Newsbeat.

He added: "In my day, status was trying to be somebody, do you know what I mean, not trying to kill somebody."

Asked for his opinion on the reasons behind the rise in knife crime, Gallagher considered the role of video games and drugs in youth culture.

"People say it's through violent video games and I guess that's got something to do with it", he suggested. "If kids are sitting up all night smoking super skunk and they become so desensitised to crime because they're playing these video games, it's really, really scary."

Gallagher added that finding a solution would be tough, saying: "I don't even know what [David] Cameron (opposition leader) or Gordon Brown (Prime Minister) are going to do about it."

There was another piece saying that Jay Z would like the chance to work with Oasis after Noel extended the olive branch. You know, it wouldn't surprise me if Jay Z and Liam got along very well
