In the end, there's nothing that Adelaide can do as a club about it, as it is totally out of our control.

It's our own fault - we had our destiny in our hands last week and we blew it, simple as that.

But of course people are going to be disappointed that we missed out on fourth spot because of the insipid performance the Bombers put up today.

Meh we didn't deserve top 4 anyway.

Our spineless performances against Geelong, St Kilda, Brisbane and Port (2nd time around) showed us to be not premiership material this year. We have done well to make 5th with our list and our leading goal kicker being sidelined after round 15. This finals foray can only give valuable experience to Maric, Tippett, Vince and co.

FWIW Essendon probably did take a dive today to ensure an all-Victorian top 4 as that club has the most hatred and loathing of the interstate invaders out of all 10 Vic teams. Oh well the arrogant pigs can look forward to years at the bottom of the ladder in the near future.

What worries me about playing Collingwood next week is the umpiring.

Anyone who played Geelong next week will cop a hiding and lose all momentum.

You guys should beat Collingwood and start garnering some optimism.

The record of teams the week after they have played Geelong is abysmal (eg. NMFC yesterday)

In all honesty and as someone said before, we lost it last week. We were insipid and if we had kicked a couple more goals we would have stayed fourth.

At the end, we have no-one to blame but ourselves.

Mind you it won't stop me from giving hell to all Essendon supporters.

Just a few stats - 3rd biggest win all year and lowest score by a side all year (in the Dome of all places).
