WTF is our fitness and conditioning staff doing? So many soft tissues and the flavor of the month is Calf. Corr did his back on the WA trip and is still out. Would play him ahead of Mykonos if he was fit. Goater’s calf is made of 2 ply toilet paper. CCJ lasted 15 min since his comeback game. We do not have the luxury of having so many players out and missing games. Do we have the right team in place to manage this malarky for 2026, or do we book another place on the Sun Rocket 🚀?

We’re the third least injury affected club for season 2025, as pointed out by Daniel Hoyne from Champion Data tonight.

An area that has been an indictment on this club. You could argue that given our year is over, injuries do not matter, but if we are to get better, it must matter and in a very big way. Football injury management is vital these days, regardless of the depth of your playing list/quad. Significant improvement would be expected in 2026 in this area if we are to seriously move up the ladder. I know Larkey is injured now, imagine if we were after a top 8 spot and we had key players injured due to which we missed finals.

tbf our injury list has been pretty healhy most of the season, besides goater and archer mismanagment things have been better than most years. To put it into perspective, most rounds of the year we have had minmimum 14 AFL listed players playing VFL with it only tapering off in recent weeks getting to end of season. Larkey's reinjury is unlucky as it was caused by the flog kilda player taking him out after the mark, prior to that he'd been playing fine all game and moving freely.

I feel it's a bit harsh to call the Goater one mismanagement considering he's doing different soft tissue injuries each time.

It's been good for the majority of the year
