The Official Macca23 European Vacation Thread

This is my last night in good old Oz for almost 5 weeks - we're off to England, Ireland and Europe for almost 5 weeks in the morning.

While I'm sure we'll have a ball while we're away, I'll certainly miss the trading period rumours, which are always about 10 times more exciting than the actual trades. You know the sort of stuff I mean '"I have it on good authority from my auntie who was told as a dead set fact by the postie when he was bonking her, that we are trading Gallagher and Shirley to the Saints for Reiwoldt and Gherig - and their 1st round draft pick!"

If I get a chance, I'll try and sneak off to an internet cafe just to see what's happening - particularly with the Stenglein trade.

Keep up the good work fellas (that includes the female fellas too ) and I'll catch up with you all when I get back.

he he maybe not on Shliva but I rekon the Shlivovitz would probably knock him out (you shouldn't have added the brandy at the end, just told him to go and try some shlivovitz )

He knows a fair bit about shlivovitz already He admitted to having killed a few brain cells with the stuff in his younger years

My son Matthew flys into Ireland on the 16th September for 3 months

A cousin of mine just came back from there and reckons there a 500 pubs in Dublin ...not that Im sayin you have to visit every one of them


He says as soon as they found out I was Aussie and could sing all they wanted to do was buy free snogs of beer

Have a safe journey & an awesome time Macca. Hopefully you can give me some good tips for when I go across the the same region next year. There are usually plenty of internet cafes around where you get a meal & catch up on BF goss. Got to love the internet!

just a heads up macca when you get to dublin save all your pennys cause you are gonna need it to buy booze! so expensive in dublin! oh and if you wanna know how to get to be a whisky taster at jamesons i can give you some hints - they only pic 4 people per tour.
