Re: Im Toey

I'm bloody toey myself. Very, very nervous but I think we can do it. If I'm this nervous this week, if we win I'd hate to imagine next week.

Go Crowies!
\

Im glad next weeks game is friday night, we play and if we win can sit back and wait for the rest of the results to unfold, lose and it will be a very nervous w/end indeed.

Re: Im Toey

Not before many games have I been this toey Im pacing around, tonights game is massive, massive for so many reasons, Ricciuto's last game at FP, a win and we are in the eight, and we can line up and take aim firmly at Collingwood next week in what will be bigger than this game..................I urge everyone at the game just go nuts, lift the supporters around you, and lets push the boys and show them every AFC supporter we are right behind them:thumbsu:

DO IT FOR ROO:thumbsu:

May not be his last game at FP ;)

Re: Im Toey

The Kangas are two games ahead of us - we can't catch them.

7th is the highest we can finish. We'll do that either if we beating Collingwood and Sydney lose to Hawthorn. Or, if we beat Collingwood and Hawthorn lose both of their remaining games and we overtake them on percentage.

Pretty sure St Kilda can now only take our spot in the eight, should we lose to Collingwood, but yes 7th is it for us, which makes Marty happy:D:thumbsu:

Re: Im Toey

Not so!

There are still four teams who could take our spot.

St Kilda are half a game behind us.
Brisbane are one game and only a smidgen of percentage behind us.
Essendon are one game behind us with two games to go.
Bulldogs are one and a half games behind us with two games to go.

Re: Im Toey

I'm toey, has been a few mon..oh wait.

I must admit I was also nervous before the game , but walking from the shed and looking towards the lit up Football Pk , my nerves went away and I said to my brother '' something special will happen tonight''

Not sure anything special happened but we won and we had a good crowd

The important thing is that with the Saints loss, destiny is now in our own hands.

Absolutely. Having your finals hopes hanging on other results is not a nice thing. I am extremely worried about this game on Friday though. It's in Melbourne against a Collingwood side that took us to the cleaners at AAMI the last time we met. If we bring our A game I know we can win but how many times this season have we looked to be settling into a groove and climbing up the ladder before returning to this illogical, non attacking, hesitant crap and undoing all our good work? Far too many times.

We have worked so hard to get back into a good position and I hate it to say it but losing this game would pretty much keep in with the season we have had. I hope this is the week we finally break the shackles and ****ing make an impact.

It's 50/50 on Friday. Mainly because I wouldn't have the foggiest idea what Adelaide side will show up.

It would be fitting if we couldn't hit the side of a barn all night, kicked double the amount of points than goals, then 4 midfielders all getting injured within the first 10 minutes.

Just the way our years gone. Probably end up losing by 3 goals after having 20 more scoring shots, finishing 9th, missing the finals and not getting a great draft pick.

Would you prefer to have your game against the Pies prior to the Saints game, or after, so you know what you have to do?

The way I see it, it will either be the sort of game you described or we will pull our inspiring 2006 footy out of nowhere and blow the Pies away.

With all this talk about how far we can make it in the eight, and about a possible home preliminary final, it scares me to think that if St. Kilda had beaten the Eagles last week (which they so very nearly did), we would all be on Mad Monday celebrations right now.

Has anyone else shuddered at the thought of how close we were to being spectators this September? Thank you West Coast:thumbsu:

Re: We were lucky

I just find it ironic that it was West Coast that gave us the opportunity to chase the flag for once instead of them taking it away from us.
