Also, FV have no right to tell you what to do unless you're an employee of a club or employed by the association. There are some professionals playing in NPL but not many, most players are paid in cash or freebies at their clubs. There's no way they could possibly obtain information about any players betting on Premier League games that would be legal so its totally unenforceable.

The only players that should be barred from betting on EPL games are A League players as they are professionals and will have contacts. Anything else is just ridiculous.

There's an interesting article in The Age about international gambling on Australia's lower soccer leagues. It raises the question of the integrity of the games. The players are amateurs or semi-pro at best. The refs are paid peanuts, often you get a parent or squad member to run the line. It wouldn't take much of a bribe to swing a result.

When I used to play for South Yarra we played in Faulkner Park in front of three men a a dog - but we were on the pools coupon. They switched to Aussie games during the British off season but for some reason they didn't select the higher leagues. That would have been much harder to fix as you would have to change the result of several games.

Yep. And that was Victorian Premier League where it's semi-pro, there's at least a few hundred watching the game and you get proper refs and linesmen. The lower leagues will be largely unpaid and much less scrutinised.

Ha ha what? That's laughable. I'm playing veterans football these days but that was never a rule back in the day for me other than betting on your own competitions.

I've never seen any paperwork to suggest that. You register with your local association (FV in Victoria) to play in it - the Victorian branch effectively of Football Australia. Football Australia is a FIFA member obviously but I don't see how this translates at local park football level to being "registered" with FIFA.

The only players "registered" with FIFA in Australia are those who are professionals and need a license from FIFA. All A League players and a limited amount of W League + NPL players.

Every player is under the FIFA umbrella. It has been this way for a while. Players in the NPL here in WA got fined/banned for betting on games before but the idiots also posted it on there socials.

A lot of revenue that you'd normally expect in the accounts of some of those clubs werent received until after the reporting period ended. It will be in next years instead, so not as bad as it looks.

I think we've said we expect our loss over the two years to be around £60m.

Bad call. Pineapple on pizza is underated. A good ingredient to balance flavours adding sweetness and acidity.

My in-laws have a wood fire pizza oven and I make a mean cajun chicken pizza with a chilli pineapple salsa. It'd convince anyone pineapple goes on pizza.

That does sound nice....as long as the salsa is on the side and not on the pizza...

You can use vegetables to add sweetness and acidity without putting fruit on a pizza imo. Piquante peppers are nicer.
