Think it's just Deschamp being stubborn. Laporte did get a calllup before his injury last year.

I find this baffling by Deschamps. Surely could have played Laporte with so many players rested and being a far better player than Zouma.

Any back story to this moomba ?

IMO the best CB combo for Les Bleus is Varane / Laporte.

Its not the worst thing to have your players resting during international duty but must be annoying for Laporte personally.

Cringe worthy stuff as usual from the mail. Countless footballers would be doing similar, using their earnings to grow their asset base and overall wealth.

It’s almost as if they’re suggesting/alluding to some kind of misappropriating of the funds he has advocated for during the pandemic for children’s meals, and used some instead to buy property. Of course they’d stop short at directly writing that, given the legal repercussions.

But just throwing that headline out there is a shit thing to do.

That, or insinuating that he should just pay for the kid's meals himself (which is obviously ridiculous) and stop making the government look bad for saying no

Yes, definitely an element of that too. “You earn £X amount per week, why not just pay for it yourself”. I’m sure he’s made a pretty significant contribution from his own pocket too in addition to his wider work in spreading awareness of the issue.

Damn impressive leadership from a 22/23 year old (which might be why some have an issue with it, because he’s so young perhaps).

Smart getting into Real Estate too. Robbie Fowler is mega wealthy apparently and back in his day they werent on the massive wages players are on today, but what he did earn he invested wisely and now he's minted.

Official complaint because Keane called Kyle Walker an idiot.

Really? Could have sworn he organised a gang bang without social distancing during the first lockdown. He's definitely an idiot.

Also remember someone calling him an idiot during the match thread, perhaps Bigfooty are about to receive a complaint from City :D:D:D

Pleased the club have said something.

Too many times they've stood silent while our players have been slaughtered.

About time we started protecting them a bit.

roy keane is kept around for his daft outbursts and nothing else. no insight and still living off a hardman reputation while having tantrums about united and players. another punditry relic
