Excellent site for keeping up to date with football results, tables, around the world. Every corner of. A centralized unified "go to" place.

Especially as I now have 7 worldwide teams that I follow, i was struggling to find a method to keep up to date with them all, now I can once i discovered this site

There's others like Sofascore too.

That can be true but would it be? Or would it just create a more attacking and exciting game? Long kicks and headers wont happen on their own. It would also come with all the deft touches, dribbles and side steps that people love as well.

Plus bombing it to the penalty area from the opposition defence could also easily be stopped with a very simple rule that states the ball cant go into the penalty area without being touched in the front half first. Very easy rule to officiate, unlike offside.

Most top teams have moved away from repeatedly bombing it up to a tall forward because retaining possession and working your way up the field by shorter passes or dribbles is usually more effective. You will see it towards the end of knock out games where a losing team is desperate. That scenario can be exciting but 90 minutes of it looks like shit.

You don't need a rule change around it. Teams have the option to play long balls if they choose to. A long pass down the line to a winger, or one down the centre for a fast striker to run onto can be effective. A long cross-field ball looks great but carries a high risk of interception or the ball flying into touch. I used to give out fines to my U17s for 'Hollywood passes' thinking they were David Beckham or Xabi Alonso.

Best league in the world.

And where the most money is.

What makes it the best league in the world beyond having the best players (which is self-fulfilling if you're saying the best go there because it's the best)?

City about to win their fifth title in six years. Yawn.

Iran should be getting a FIFA ban to join their fellow Russian thugs with immediate effect. AFC also should be banning them from Asian Cup 23 unless they stop this nonsense immediately.

As if the Iranian government is going to care about a football team not being able to play.

There is a reason they waited for Iran to finish up at the world cup before doing this.

A FiFA suspension would be a big deal to them.
To the players and fans, yes. To those in charge of the nation, no.

It's not going to stop these archaic laws.

This is more about saving the life of a footballer rather than changing archaic laws.

And yes, a FIFA ban removable once the player is freed will bite.

Look at what Craig Foster achieved by pressuring Thailand to not turn over a persecuted Bahraini player who had played in Australia over to the Bahrain govt who demanded his arrest.

Thailand and Iran are incredibly different beasts.

You're very much overstating how big an influence football has in that country.

Not really. Iran should be told they face a 5 year FIFA suspension unless they free Azadani with immediate effect.

That means no Asian Cup, no World Cup 2026.

This is about saving the life of a footballer whos only crime has been to defemd the rights of women. FIFA simply must intervene.

They can try and intervene, although I suspect they assume what I do - it won't change a thing.

So do nothing while Iran executes a footballer for defending rights of women?

FIFA must ban Iran with immediate effect and only reverse that ban once Adazani is released.

How about in terms of quality of football. Also has the best managers or at least 2 of the top 5 in the world and probably the best two at it.

Having had an English team in 4 of the last 5 champions league finals.

2 or 3 of those years city won the title by a point or a few points. No other league so far has had a run like Leceister in 15/16.

If you want to bring other variables into it such as weather etc, then you have a point but my point was purely from a football and finance stand point.

The quality of football is a direct result of quality of players, which was my point about the circular nature of the point. I also wouldn't even say it's necessarily the best football. How many people do you think tune in for Southampton v Wolves?

Then which league in your opinion has the best quality?

Probably about the same amount of people then would tune into Mallorca v getafe.

Not sure what you’re getting at there every league has those middle to lower tier teams that avg ok to low amount of views.

Yes city win the league most times then not but does any other league have a big 6 like the EPL, regardless of what smartasses will say on here about some of them to most the epl has that.

Who knows this year might be arsenals. Plenty of football to be played.

Perhaps, just think it's easy to say that the best players come to the PL because it's the best league rather than because the PL pays them the most.

I think in terms of watchability the Championship is the most watchable league in the world as it's the most even, in terms of quality of play Serie A has probably been the most entertaining this season.
