What happened in the Terry/Ferdinand case?

Think he got cleared in court but charged by the FA? Did he lose the England captaincy, or was he out of the squad altogether?

Can't remember the details.

Terry was cleared of racially abusing Anton in court but the FA found him guilty of "using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour".

He lost the captaincy for the second time and Capello resigned. Came back into the team for the Euros under Hodgson then retired.

There's nothing for the FA to sanction but she might still lose the captaincy of the Matildas. The poll in The Age is still showing 52% that she should lose it. Football Australia might have an eye on public opinion and the view of sponsors.
