My Dad took me to my first Oldham game when I was 7 and that was it for life. Some might consider it child abuse! It's been a journey. From 4th tier to Premier League and now down to 5th tier, with a League Cup final and a couple of FA cup semis along the way. The hope is that we can do a Luton but right now there's more chance that we will drop into the 6th tier.

I've got a couple of Aussie mates who follow Newcastle and West Ham. They have stuck by their teams when times were not good. I reckon a plastic is someone who loses interest when their team is not successful.
Haha that’s a bit unlucky but I also kind of love it. I kind of wish I had that through my parents/grandparents so I’m a tad envious.

My dad was obviously raised on AFL but even he liked football in the end. He goes for Chelsea, my two brothers Spurs and Liverpool 😂 but they aren’t religious followers like me and I still play unlike them too. Even have my badges.

I’d never change my team though. It’s one thing I hate about the NBA. People follow players instead of teams.

He has to toe the line. Otherwise he gets summoned to the Saudi embassy for some "questions".

No other footballer over in Saudi Arabia is on social media literally begging for people to understand their motivations. The Saudi royal family don’t care or need those footballers on social media. But Jordan Henderson has gone on there on his own and he’s digging a bigger hole by say what he’s saying.

Not about the money? Let me tell you something, no multi-millionaire footballer living in Europe goes to Saudi Arabia to experience a new culture and religion 😂 .

What a joke of an interview from Henderson. The cheek to try and pull the wool over everyone’s eyes, what a tosser. Some of the stuff in there is unreal.

Trying to say the mistreatment of workers in Qatar was overblown because he met some and they were happy reminded me of that scene in The Interview when they put a fat kid in front of a fake grocery store to show that there was no hunger in North Korea.

The optics are terrible, he's just repeating propaganda because he's been paid off.

He's been sportswashed. Reminds me of the mental gymnastics undetaken by fans of clubs owned by sportswashers defending their ownership.

You can see the Saudi strategy from a mile away. Make football reliant on oil money then once they have control they can dictate world affairs. It's absolutely disgusting.

He hasn't been sportwashed. He knew exactly what he was signing up for and simply chose money ahead of morals.

That's exactly what sportswashing is. We see it from anyone who benefits from it whether it be Greg Norman (LIVgolf), fans of sportswashing owned clubs etc. He was approached with an offer to triple his wages at the end of his career. The price to pay is he now parrots Saudi propaganda.

Sportswashing 101 pretty much.

Football Fans for ever have been sceptical about the Intentions of football club owners. It's only since Abramovic and the middle east scum have come in that fans have bowed down and started supporting and defending owners.

A truly bizarre situation which shows how easily sportswashing can be achieved. Throw some money around and you can get a few thousand mancs, a million geordies and a few Londoners to suck you off. The strange bit is they don't realise that it has happened and reject its existence as some kind of coping mechanism to justify their actions to themselves.

The thought that Saudi are investing billions just so they can have Jordan Henderson front a world wide campaign to convince people think they're really nice guys is quite amusing.

The reality is that he's just protecting his own brand, over here and over there.

I doubt it will change one person's opinion of Saudi.

Certainly changed everyone's opinion of Jordan though.

He really should have been advised to shut up.

He should have, he doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the shed.
