Our only hope of ever hosting a Men's WC is either re-joining Oceania or if the AFC split into west and east.

Not sure I quite agree. I think a joint bid with NZ could garner support in 20 years. It feels a long way off but I think the prospects will only be helped by these other peripheral events we host going well.

Sure. But are you doing that multiple times in a month? How many games would you attend in said month, knowing the cost etc.
I’d be able to justify it as a one off experience and see as much as I could. How often do you get to see high quality competitive games like this?

Think our time zone kills our chances

Haven't they normally been held in Japan and the Middle East? I think moving it around the world isn't the most unlikely thing. They seem pretty keen on having it in growth areas not traditional markets.

Yeah and I'd be inclined to say there's a lot more neutral interest in club football than nations. Would you rather see Colombia v Netherlands or River Plate v Bayern Munich?
Definitely the latter, and yet the major appeal of the latter is seeing them at their ground.

Seeing Boca at Marvel Stadium would be meh. Seeing Boca at La Bombonera or Red Star at Marakana would be one of those great football journey's.

You could argue that giving the World Cup to USA twice, and South Africa was about growing the game. Awarding the World Cup to Qatar and Saudi Arabia is more about continued FIFA corruption.

The 2030 tournament will predominantly be Spain and Portugal. Infantino has thrown a bone of a few games to Morocco, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay in order to skip the usual rotation to Africa and South America and give his buddies in Saudi the WC in 2034.

Qatar and KSA growth markets? Surely you jest.
Billions and billions being paid whilst 90-95% of the population is poor.

At least can watch World Cup replays up until 2014/2018. Has turned to dogshit now

Shoehorning the 2030 World Cup onto 3 continents (confederations) so that they can quickly move back around to an AFC World Cup in 2034 for a sportswashing nation is a new level of corruption, even for FIFA. And that's saying something.
What’s going to be the swing after 2034? Europe? Africa?

NZ doesn't have the infrastructure or oil money to host it on their own. Best bet is for us to re-join them as co-host.

Put the entire NZ-Australia bid under Oceania.

We still have to qualify.

Not only that, Qatar has a tiny population.

We're talking about the Club World Cup.

If 'Asia' has the WC in 2034 then even joint Asia/Oceania bid is unrealistic before 2044.

Would be an "Oceania"bid. Australia is geographically in Oceania even if it competes in AFC.

Oceania can bid for 2038. Might be the only time Aust can bid without going up against sportswashers.
