very bizarre but i get what he means. i would expect anyone who's been a 4th official for most managers would find them campaigners. they get screamed at, abused etc all the time. but why he's saying this on a video is beyond me. you're relying on others to not be dickheads and leak it out. never rely on that.

Even though he didn't say the parts about Liverpool being shit he's on the same video that it was said and is guilty by association. That's why he is saying the video can't get out.

It's not a termination offense for me but it is almost certain he will never referee a game again involving Liverpool.

I kind of agree, but its probably the right thing to do while you investigate. And it buys them a bit of time.

I think they'll find it hard to justify a sacking based on the video, but I also don't think they'll want him reffing again. We already see now conspiracy theorists whenever a side gets a 50/50 decision. Imagine Coote makes one against Liverpool (unlikely he would ever referee them again) or for one of their rivals.

I'm guessing a resignation and a nice payout.
