FIFA admittedly, but that does not mean it stands true for so many others.
Know of quite a few others who went then next best other than United on old FIFA games. Simplistic to us now as adults (us that are) but thing are quite simple for us that were say 10-14 during that time without family links to clubs etc.

I think what jd2010 is trying to say is that barring United, Liverpool and to a lesser extent Arsenal, other clubs garnished a bigger following because of the TV era. The EPL's popularity rose in the early 00s and obviously that has helped with support for clubs with lesser followers, and following the Abramovich era at Chelsea, and their following success, they obviously picked up fans they otherwise wouldn't have had.

I'm not denying that, I've said along money, success and becoming popular go hand in hand, it just seems the johnny come lately's get a bad wrap.

I couldn't give a stuff really if we're 3rd of 4th biggest English club, I'm more worried about winning a trophy or two. Just seems odd a Spurs fan is so intent on it.

There were quite a few having a go at a Liverpool supporter quite a few pages back when the Daily Mail thing showed that crazy table on who is the most supported. I get they are one eyed and crazy at the best times, but we can't ever deny them the fact that they are the 2nd biggest team from the UK. You just don't get the MCG crowd they did without that.

The attacks on Chelsea has come from living at breathing it since moving here (live 5 min walk from the Bridge). The ground is hardly full and quite often silent due to a client or tourist based crowd. The Virgin gym gives out mid-week tickets to help get close to full. Mourinho has mentioned it this season. Perhaps looking at likes & follows Chelsea is huge. But locally they just aren't followed that well. Call me a cynic questioning the global likes/follows dropping off if results did, but the locals don't really give me much more faith that it wouldn't

Fair enough, goes against the grain of what I've heard but each to their own.

I get the dislike and am more than happy to move on.

The Liverpool All Star Charity Match/Gerrard's testimonial is on tonight if anyone's interested. Kickoff is at 3pm BST. Here is a guide on how to watch the match. It costs £1 to watch it through LFCTV GO - all of which goes to the Foundation and other charities.

Gerrard paired by Alonso in midfield with Suarez, Torres and Henry up front. If that doesn't get you excited then you are dead inside. Terry, Drogba, Riise, Clichy, Kewell, Carragher, Reina, Arbeloa, Luis Garcia, Bellamy, the Master of Disaster Mario Balotelli and the Dark Lord himself, Jonjo Shelvey will also be taking part in the game. Should be great entertainment.

Feels and being are 2 different things and I agree with him we are to quiet at times. It certainly stirred things up, but we aren't alone with this problem.

We have gotten to the stage where a lot of the die hards can't get in often enough and the sooner we get moving on the increased capacity the better.
Goes with what I mentioned about it being a client and tourist sort of crowd. Not saying it's the majority. Just too much of a portion that it is effecting the overall atmosphere

Great stuff. But I will cry if Terry gets injured.

Yep, it's a problem at a few of the venues. We desperately need a bigger capacity.
