Shut up you plastic.A bit more originality would be nice, but to be honest I'm sure my fellow Chelsea fans don't really care to much about being 'teased' for having more Money/Trophies/Fans than we previously had. Im sure you guys feel the same.
Majority of Chelsea supporters (in London) history pre-Roman happened at Craven Cottage![]()

Replaced by the 9,000 that were going to PL games at the Bridge around 1990-1994Obviously. And been replaced by many more.

Sorry it was 6,000 not 9,000 that made it to that game against Southampton in 1992 pre-Roman. My point is the Chelsea fanbase has definitely grown significantly from being behind the likes of QPR & Fulham in the 70's & 80's to being back up where it was pre-WW2. I'm not saying there's no history at the club, just that most English based supporters aged 20-40 would be lucky to have gone to a game between 1980-Roman days20k, but carry on
Not sure what your point is though.
Not sure why'd you'd expect any differently, you do know this board.
Did he die?
Obviously hope it's not fatal. My Pop had one about 6 months ago, he's just getting back to full strength now. Still beats the alternative of course.Think he's in a critical condition in hospital, but the story's only just broken so I suspect there'll be updates when they know more.
Although it's probably the wrong time for a giggle, his name is Neville Neville. Cruel parents.

Yeah, that's not great. Cruel indeed.
The behind Fulham & QPR was on the pitch not on the terraces (re: cup finals & the like in that era). Anyone who has seen the Cottage & Loftus Road would know they physically can't achieve big crowds. Like I said it's MOST UK based Chelsea fans, maybe you're (if you're from there?) the exception to the rule.Gee theres some shit posted on here.
1908 was when Fulham had a higher average attendance.
I dont think QPR ever has.

But it's a fact 1970-1995 Chelsea crowds & fanbase wasn't at the levels it is now. It's pretty basic knowledge that success brings in new fans and those that just like to bandwagon onto success. Does that take away all the history of the club? No not at all. Does it mean everyone that supports the club never went to a game pre-money? No. Do opposition supporters have the right to joke about the collective? Each to their own. For mine I enjoy taking the piss because I know a lot about the UK club's history having family that supports all 4 big London clubs (scum, you guys, spammers & us). I know Chelsea have been historically been a big club and are currently, but I also like to remind my mates (most who'd have no clue) that they weren't always where they are now
Chelsea had plenty of support before Roman. What has changed recently is that some of the traditional supporters have been priced out but they still fill the stadium and need to expand. Sure, they have picked up a significant amount of new supporters since they started genuinely competing for trophies.
The same can be said of most clubs in the top 6.
You haven't watched an Arsenal or Chelsea game of late? There'll come a tipping point, mark my words, where the big sides will have their stadia filled by tourists and upper class supporters who don't support the side with the same passion as the common fan, and you'll end up with absolute libraries.

Unfortunately, Old Trafford is about 70% Tourists/upper class supporters, 25% hardcore, 5% away fans.I hate, hate, hate that traditional supporters are getting priced out of the game. I am thrilled that Man City are going some way to counter this - as is Swansea - but even my club has seen exorbitant ticket price rises, which have stuck even after relegation.
