I love the desperate attempts at trying to play down Sterling's ability.

He is 21 ffs. Already a good player and in his prime I don't think it'd be unfair to say he will be in the top 10 in the world, and probably one of the world's best wingers.

You can't speak in absolutes. And in the interests of objectivity I find it strange you haven't posted a similar response to those who think Sterling will be a 25 goal + a season player which is overplaying his ability.

I hope so, but when people say he's 'far from the finished product' I don't think it's simply about giving him time. The wrong choices he so often makes in the final third don't seem to be reducing. It's been two years of solid play and I would've liked to have seen a mental change in him. It could just be that he is a late bloomer, or like with a Kewell or Firmino fans will have to accept that he will lose the ball often while attempting to beat people or play relatively straight-forward passes. There's nothing in his current trajectory that suggests he will get up to 25 goals a year. He misses easy chances a lot.

Lol at bashing Sterling, the finest young player in the world, just because he had the sense to leave Liverpool who were thrashing him (even at wingback because their squad was that bad). I am happy for Sterling, he is getting a chance to rest every now and then and developing nicely.

Sterling will be fine. Plenty to prove yet. Be interested to see how he goes under Pep.

Also chef what's the go with Pato, Ive heard reports he wants out or something? Has he gotten on the pitch yet for Chelsea?

Really? SWP scored his second premier league goal a week before his 23rd birthday. Sterling has 24 with nearly 9 months to go before he reaches 22.

I love SWP but he never had the sort of capabilities and potential Sterling has.

I said I don't think it'd be unfair to say it. There were no absolutes, but good try at making an attempt to make me look I said one.

I don't think he will be a 25 goal a season player, either.

Fair enough you lambasted faith for downplaying his ability. Why didn't you do the same for those who overstated his ability? Going by your response you believe that Sterling being a 25+ goal a season player is unlikely.

In the interests of objectivity of course.
