the only fault i find with him is that he doesnt spend enough. if he spent big on a striker and dm he would have won easily the bpl this season.
hes the best developer of talent and his teams play the best football imo off the field no one better.

then how come so many haven't kicked on under him?

walcott, the ox, denilson, bendtner, vela, miyaichi, campbell to name a few.

he has had some shocking transfers too. gervinho, park chu-young, chamakh, benayoun, andre santos, flamini, kallstrom.

his football has been the same for so long. walk the ball into the net. great when it comes off, but so often it doesn't. kinda like pellegrini.

i said hes the best talent developer not perfect.
i dont think he needs to develop his tactics just needs a couple more elite players.
he finished 2nd so cant be as bad as you say

he finished second in a year where leicester won the league, chelsea and city had their worst seasons in a fair while, liverpool are being liverpool and united are being united. there were large question marks over whether he would even get into the top 4, and fell across the line really due to how bad everyone else was.

developing talent means **** all if you can't develop it to a standard that benefits your side. gifting players game time because they're kids when they're plainly not good enough is just a waste of time. when was the last time he played the main part in developing a player to the standard arsenal aspire? wilshere?

again, that's all fine and dandy a decade a go, a reputation he deserved, because he was excellent at picking the diamond in the rough and making them a star. henry, vieira, numerous others. but vieira was signed twenty years ago. henry was managed by wenger at monaco twenty two years ago. this is my point. he still lives largely off the reputation of what he was doing over a decade ago at least, some of them two decades ago.

it might well just be oh he needs some world class players. i don't believe he'll do it. and he should have been replaced about 4-5 years ago with a thanks for what you've done, but now is the time for everyone to move on.

think he slightly overestimated his squad if he does that again then he should be sacked but he seems like he is going hard in the market early.
dont think he should have gone 4-5yrs ago he made arse into a force itd be a shame if a tool like mou came in and destroyed it within a couple of years like he will at united.

Mou will struggle to do worse than Van Gaal

Not sure why people are bothering with Faith.

Wenger was a fantastic manager. He is past his use by date, but still capable of doing an OK job. Not in the top rung of managers, but I don't think most clubs would be disappointed if he was their manager.

He's far too stubborn and stuck in his ways as we have seen, and that is why he has stagnated as a manager. Early-mid 00s he was absolutely world class. Now? Not so much.

I think he's pigheaded. Has spoken out many times about exorbitant spending and financial responsibility so if he now goes absolutely nuts and spends a fortune it'll give his detractors ammo "see you did have to spend money to succeed, why didn't you do it sooner" so is trying to win his way partially to prove he was right.

According to reports, the boys allowed the women to pass around in the back half, intercepted the ball from them in the middle third, and sent it route one by burning them for pace. Even if the women were more technical, the boys were just more physical, and just used that to their advantage. That was almost a full Matildas XI as well.

Not the first time that has been done either. (If I recall correctly, I heard they did two matches in the US, the first time was the women in their 'peak' and the boys in pre-season. The match was a lot closer, but the women knew that in 6 months, they were going to get swatted away.)

The only picture I could find of them: in action:

WHACK!

Former Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Bosnich certainly didn’t hold back in his comments about the Matildas’ loss to a youth side this week.

The Australian women’s soccer team crumbled to a 7-0 defeat to the Newcastle Jets U-15 side, which also included 16 and 17 year olds, according to a reliable football source.

Bosnich, speaking on the Triple M Rush Hour, didn’t mince his words.

“We’re talking about the number five team in the world,” Bozza said.

“I am all for equality. I’m all for equality across the board, as long as it’s down to a meritocracy, i.e., if you produce like the next man or the next woman produces, you get paid the same.

“The Matildas, the next time they say they want to get paid like the Socceroos, I’d be bringing this up.

“If it was the other way around – if it was the Socceroos getting beat and the Matildas were absolutely flying – I’d be saying to the Socceroos the exact same thing.

“If the boot was on the other foot I’d be saying the same thing. Because every time I watch them for the next three months, I’m just gonna think 7-0.”

never heard them asking for the same as the men, but if they are they need to settle down a bit.

Think there's been a fair bit of noise, particularly after their WC.

The US women's national team definitely has but they aren't losing to 15 year olds and are actually good.
To be fair, I doubt they're playing 15 year olds.
