Le God and Scholes? Xavi said they were the best PL players he saw growing up....
If Xavi said it, it must be true!

Le Tissier was too fat. Bergkamp had him well covered physically, and as for technically, well it's not unfair to say he didn't have him covered there either.

Best player to ever play in the premier league is Cristiano Ronaldo.
It's Henry, end of discussion
Depends on how you frame the question.

If it's the best player who every played in the premier league then it's probably CR7 (although Suarez could come close by the end of his career if he continues on this trajectory).

But if you are looking at the best premier league player (including consistency, longevity, titles, individual achievements etc) then the discussion opens up to include Henry, Giggs, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes etc etc. Henry is hard to beat for that title IMO.

Bergkamp is possibly my favourite ever player, but Henry was just devastating, and it's not just that he's good, he knew it and he played with the coolest swagger ever

got to look at the guys who put it on the plate for him.

zola is probably my fav ever player though in the epl. little magician, just a class above henry imo.

Henry made his own plate, dressed it up, cooked the food and ate it himself all the time. At his prime he didn't need much help, although it does help

Zola as good as he was isn't in the same ball park as Henry and Bergkamp

Whilst he isn't the definitive gospel for this, being one of the greatest mids of all time means what he says has merit in this particular conversation. That and almost everyone who's seen Scholes and Le Tissier live and in their primes say that they were the best midfielders they've ever in that time period.

Physically yes you have a point but technically they were about even from all accounts. One played for clubs consistently challenging for top honours whilst the other played for a club that wasn't getting past a particular level so of course one is going to be rated higher. Juan Carlos Valeron is considered by a lot Spaniards as their greatest ever player but Xavi and Iniesta will always be more highly regarded outside the country because they played for Barcelona instead of Deportivo La Coruna.

This will more than likely get my SAFC fandom revoked and have me hanged but Shear............can't do it.

if zola played for that arsenal side like henry did, hed be up there with messi as the greats of the modern era.

I personally feel Joe Allen is the greatest PL player myself

Valeron was an absolute joy to watch but saying that Iniesta and Xavi are rated higher purely because they played for Barca instead of a smaller club is simplifying things a fair bit mate. I think their role in one of the most successful national team sides of all time might play a part too, particularly when one of the two was the match winner in the WC Final.

I know it's a simplification and I glossed over his injury record in saying it but it's not like I'm entirely wrong, especially when players who played with and against him have said the same thing. Roy Makaay and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink both played with Bergkamp and JFH also played with Zola and both have stated that he's the best player they've ever played with.

The fact that a guy who's biggest honour is a Copa del Rey from 15 years ago is held in higher esteem then Xavi, Iniesta and Xabi Alonso in their homeland by most says a lot about how good he was. Same thing with Le Tissier, most people from that time in England will swear on their kids lives that he's the best player they've seen live but people outside England take one look at his record and think he was just a good player.

Le Tiss may have been the best to watch but he would barely be in the best 25 attacking players in the PL era

Yes, let's discuss. Much better than a #goo fest over Hand of Frog. Barf.
