I absolutely agree on the extra subs as well, that's a no-brainer.

I think most quarters are screaming out for expansion though. Crowds are going backwards at a frightening pace and viewers are tuning out.

I thought about it when I was younger. I know the guy that started up Melbourne Victory and was offered a job at the club back in 2004 (pending completion of a sports management course) but didn't accept because the money wasn't good enough.

Yeah that's the main concern, despite the long hours required sometimes.

It would be very rewarding but unless you are part of the executive management team you won't be earning great money.

One perth team is more than enough. Any 'Fremantle' team would face the same issue as a Perth 2 team, there'd be no benefit, especially seeing they'd play at Perth Oval anyway with the lack of any suitable ground around Freo.

I like the idea of a Perth team more so that we can have the late Saturday game become a permanent fixture, not sure on the stats but surely when there's a half-decent PL game at 11.30 and a 10pm A-League game, viewership must be decent for the A-League game.

Would have been higher when the EPL was on Fox I would have thought. Not sure how it would go now that it's on SBS or not at all.

Foxtel losing the EPL rights to Optus was one of the worst things to happen to round ball football in this country in the last 20 years. I'm sure the EPL don't care, it's only about the $$ for them, but it's taken the easily accessible football 'Hollywood' out of the population's eye.

Its a lot easier to grow into multiple 1m population markets. We already have a club in a country town of less than 200,000 people
