The one big negative and Dimma needs to really explain

Medic: Are you in pain? There's some serious damage to your arm here, Shane

Tuck: Just ******* amputate it and get me back on already!!
As funny as this is, it's not far from the truth from what I was told. (minus the amputate part) Haha

...hope the coaches showed the footage to the rest of the team during the review to show them how selfless they each need to be for the greater team. Great example for the younger players to take onboard.

About as much chance of that as getting a rap from Hardwick in the presser for once.

Maybe if he dies on-field in a final he'll rate a few words.

Didn't see this weeks? Just after 5 min mark gave him a rap. "very brave" "incredibly tough individual, Shane"

Well good on him, I stand corrected, Liv. :thumbsu:

However, I do note, not for the first time (and some may insist I'm being uncharitable here), that if you're a coach who just watched your player do what Tucky did for us, you might choose to use words and phrases like 'inspirational team effort', 'love him', 'will miss him badly', instead of simply acknowledging that he was 'tough' and 'brave.'

Seriously, it's not at all hard to tell which players Hardwick loves and which ones he tolerates while they're useful, from the body language, tone and choice of words he uses when speaking about them. He's a very easy read from that perspective, IMO.

He may use those words internally though Ray, we'll never know. Would have more impact told to Tucky inside the rooms than hearing on the TV reports, don't you think?

I think it's really important to do both, turtle.

Every player has a family, friends and supporters who care about how that player is thought of by the general public and would like to see truly great efforts acknowledged. If I was Michael Tuck, after all that has passed before with Hardwick and Shane, I think I'd like to hear something a little more after watching my son go through that for a coach.

Hardwick's not shy about handing out effusive praise in a presser, but he is selective about who gets that effusive praise.

How's Slobbo & Wimpley's form on AFL 369er suggesting Tuck should've been charged for punching Redden. Flogs.:thumbsdown:

There is a bit of agro towards the original poster on this topic and a lot of posters dismissing it with their admiral blind loyalty and team solidarity on show.

I went to the game and watched the whole thing unfold with my brothers and cousin and it was noted that it seemed very strange at the time.... Tuck came back on and was in obvious pain and on numerous occasions was hunched over and did not go near the ball when he went to the forward pocket area. It looked bad from a live viewer capacity.... I too would like to know what was going on, as people saying it was a stinger clearly were not at the game and did not see Tucky when he went back on... I watched him for like 5 minutes and it looked broken from the stands the way he was holding himself...

I clarify I am not a medical practitioner lol

Coach Tigs has prasied him publicly in the other thread. :D

Should have punched Redden in the face for trying to injure him more. What did Baz Hall cop 7 weeks? Gunna be out that long anyway. :p

Now Rayzor, I don't know what's going on but Hardwick highlighted Tucky's effort in front of the whole list this week. "phenomenal" "shows what the club means to him" etc etc apparently made a very big deal out of Shane.

Did you write a letter?

Nah Liv, but never underestimate an accountant's ability to cover his own arse when there's potential shrapnel floating around. ;)

I'm pleased to hear it, I hope he meant it. :thumbsu:
