Hey guys,

Been interested in finding out how N. Brown is doing. Was a pretty big thing in his 2nd year while Mitch was out with his knee but havent heard much since.

Any reason for his slide or lack of faith by supporters?

There really hasn't been a "slide or lack of faith by the supporters".

We have high hopes for Browny- evident by the masses ready to burn down the Lexus Centre if he were part of any trade to secure us Luke Ball during trade week (Saints/Dogs were into him big time).

Suffered a knee injury last season which meant he was in and out of the side. Was also a little top heavy too.

From reports has had a terrific summer and has dropped a few kilos too.

He will be fighting it out with Reid for that CHB spot this season IMO.

I find it interesting how 2 "twins" can look so different on the football field after a few years apart.

Mitch looks more like a Harry O'brien or even Heath Shaw type, in that he looks to be a very good rebounding defender.

As Nathan has been solely developed into a KPP, with the long term target always for him to be Presti's replacement at full back.

I hope Mitch has a better run with injuries this year, and the same for Nathan, both have had their fair share of bad luck, which has probably slowed their development just a little bit.

I am still confident both will be consistent 22 game footballers for their clubs for many years to come, given luck with injuries of course.:)

Had a confidence breaker first up against Riewoldt, then one of their young spuds took a grab on him to really rub it in.

I think he injured himself (hammie?) and is out at the moment.

He has dropped some kgs over summer, just a matter of getting experience into him now and getting him to CHB where he is more suited. Ben Reid will give him some competition though.

Junior forwards that get moved back often look good on the rebound, they have generally good play reading and attacking instincts.

Nate as a junior and now afl full back will always be seen as the more dour and gritty then the flair like Mitch.

N.b no disrespect to Mitch looks the goods indeed

I sincerely hope you don't consider him to be a player in the Heath Shaw/O'Brien mould.

Mitch Brown is a monster, he's as big as Nathan. He's a KP player

Yer I enjoyed watching Nathans games and Mitch was having a fantastic season last year till he busted his leg up.

Mitch was a fantastic rebounder and instead of putting him FF looks like he will be stuck down back like Nathan at CHB.

edit: and i didnt hear about Nathans knee injury which is probably why i didnt see him the pies team very often.

Nathan had a ripper year in 2008 when PResti was out injured, but the reality is that at his size, he is a somewhat limited player and really only fits into our side as fullback, I don't rate him as an option at CHB to be honest.

So while we still have Presti and Presti remains in form, Browny will have to develop in the Magoo's for another year.
