I'm at the point now where I half expect a phone call saying mum's put her car in forward instead of reverse and is now parked in a greengrocer's shop.

Journalist hack Jon Anderson did that to a pizza shop but it wasn't old age that made him do it.

My son reckons I embarrass him at his hockey, I asked why, apparently I'm "always talking to the other kids and parents and being annoying." I coached a few of his teammates in two seasons of cricket and clearly I find it impossible to walk past them without chatting and getting around them, also sporting clubs run on volunteers of course so always try to help out. So basically I said bad luck I can't do anything about it haha
