Whenever I see monogram stuff I just think of Sturt.

Probably repressed memories from 1976.

I think it would look better without the granular look to be honest, even if just the text was a bit cleaner.

Not sure what the big attraction of the monogram is.

For me, it's got two things going for it. Firstly, it can be used equally with both Power and Magpies merchandise. There has been a lot of talk since oneclub about having a logo to unite the Port Adelaide football club.

Secondly, and probably the reason it's so loved, is that it's simple and timeless. Simple and timeless is what a good logo should be. Easily recognisable, strong, it would have fit in just well in the 1940s, or the 1970s, or the 1990s, and it will fit in just as well in the 2030s. It looks amazing on merchandise. Those New Era caps that launched this beautiful emblem were the best merchandise we've ever released up until that point. You can go outside, in public, not even to a football game, and you can be wearing something that identifies you as a Port Adelaide supporter without looking garish. It's absolutely the way of the future when it comes to sports merchandise.

They still had stacks of double-Renault last time I went in. Not exactly authentic, but aesthetically fantastic.

I'm looking to buy the latest home guernsey (with Energy Australia on the front) however the only ones they had at the game had Renault on both sides. I did see people wearing the new ones though, so can you only get them online?
